I wait in the shadows outside Elena's apartment, the glow of the streetlights casting long silhouettes across the pavement. She doesn't know how much I've craved this moment. And yet, she said yes. She doesn't belong to anyone, not easily. But I like a challenge.

The door creaks open, and there she is. Stunning. Untouchable. Mine — at least for tonight.

"Good evening, you look breathtaking", I murmur, my voice laced with something darker than admiration. "Are you ready?"

She hesitates for just a second before offering a small smile. "Oh, thank you. Where are we going?"

I smirk. "Somewhere you'll like. We'll eat, and then. . . we'll see"

"Okay"

"Where do you want to eat?"

She shifts on her heels. "To be honest, I've never been to a fancy restaurant before"

I tilt my head. "Oh?"

Her eyes narrow. "What's with that reaction?"

I chuckle, low and amused. "I just assumed you'd been on hundreds of dates, spoiled by men desperate for your attention"

She frowns. "Why would you think that?"

I step closer, watching the way her breath hitches.
"Because you're beautiful. And beautiful women don't stay unnoticed"

A quiet laugh escapes her lips, almost nervous.
"No. . . I haven't been on a lot of dates"

I don't believe her. Not entirely. But I don't press. Instead, I open the door for her, my gaze lingering as she slips inside.

The drive is silent, tension thick in the air. She doesn't know that every time I glance at her, I'm memorizing her. Mapping out every detail.

She's a masterpiece. And masterpieces deserve to be kept.

"Oh Mister Valdovinus, pleasure to meet you. You didn't call", the owner greets friendly.

"Yes, I know. Do you may have a table for two?"

"Of course. Please follow me"

I slide the chair back, watching as she gracefully takes a seat.

"You're quite the gentleman", she teases, amusement flickering in her eyes.

I smirk. "That depends"

"On what?"

"On who I'm with"

She leans in slightly, curiosity dancing across her face. "Oh, really?"

"Yes", my voice is low, deliberate. "Now, what do you want to drink?"

"Whiskey", she says without hesitation.

A slow smile spreads across my lips. "Good choice"

"I always make good choices"
