One Step Forward, Three Steps Back

And I am pretty sure familiar ang sentence na ito sa fans ni Olivia Rodrigo. But this letter to the Moon for tonight is not about love life.

New year, new life. Nararapat lang namang maglook forward. And actually, normal 'yon. But in my case, and sure ako na 'yung iba is makakarelate, na not all the times is nagllook forward tayo. Mostly nakatitig pa din tayo sa nakaraan. Na hanggang ngayon hindi pa din nakakamove on sa mga bagay-bagay. Past mistakes, shameful acts and worthless memories. Mga bagay na 'di mo maalis sa isip mo. Na patuloy lang na bumibigat.

Isang hakbang palayo sa nakaraan ang gagawin dahil ninanais ito ng iyong puso. Ngunit magugulat ka nalang na bumalik ka ng tatlong hakbang dahil hanggang ngayo'y 'di mo pa din tanggap ang nakaraan. It's very difficult to move forward, but it's harder to live sa past natin.

Time goes on. And you must too. Don't dwell on the past, cherish your life today, and look forward in the future.
