The lights of the lab were buzzing softly in y/n's ears, her body strapped down to a table with little mobility available. "Ngh..the fuck..let me out of her membrane! You sick fuck!" Calling him names right now probably wasn't the best idea but it was the only one she had right now. Heavy footsteps slowly grew closer until she saw the spiked hair of now arch-enemy. "Your yelling is useless." "Least its somethin to do other than lay here. Why the hell am I tied up like this anyways?" Membrane only hummed in response before he tilted the table upright, looking her over and only now did she realize she was completely naked. "W-what the!? Y-you sick fuck! Where are my clothes!?" She wiggled harshly, trying to cover herself. Her wiggling and slight thrashing made the strap on her tail come loose, letting her cover her privates at least. Membrane stayed silent again, grabbing her tail and forcing it out of the way while he grabbed some tools, beginning to measure and study her. "Get away from me!! If I ever get out of here again I'm gonna tell everybody about what you've done! I'll even tell your kids!! And the company! They won't think you're such a great scientist after they hear about all of this!!" (Y/n) immediately regretted every word that had come out of her mouth, she wanted to take back each one as membrane gave her a look that scared her to her very core, making her shake like a leaf as she tried to make herself smaller. She yelped in fear as membrane grabbed her by her throat and leaned close to her face, so close that she could feel the fabric of his coat against her chin. His voice dark and devoid of all emotion except absolute unbounded rage. "That. Is exactly why you will never leave this lab for as long as you live." He backed away shortly after his words, grabbing his tools again and going back to studying her like nothing had happened.

She couldn't help her trembling and shaking, she was surprised to say the least that the males on this planet could be just as harsh if not harsher than the ones on her home planet. She was taken back to the many years before she began studying, when she only a little sprout. One of the males in her tribe had broken into her mothers home, screamed and yelled before killing her father and taking her mother in the worst way possible. Right in front of her own youngling daughter. Y/n tried to force back the tears but she couldn't, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't hide the pain that had built inside her, a seed planted many years ago seemingly watered by this one scientist who she hated oh so deeply.

One scientist had broken down the walls inside her that hid the ever burning rage that had simmered for far too long. She thrashed about suddenly, surprising membrane as he grabbed her tail and attempted to stop her. She only thrashed around more and eventually broke the restraints on her wrists, leaping forward and tackling membrane to the floor with her teeth bared like a dog and her tail swaying and flicking violently behind her. After a moment of quiet she slowly picked herself up and stood over him, panting softly from the adrenaline running through her veins and the fear that slowly seeps from her mind.

Membrane stayed under her, staring at her in a slight bit of shock at how strong she had suddenly become. He thought of ways to test her strength but then reminded himself she could likely easily kill him if she so pleased. Then again he did have robotic arms that were quite useful in helping to defend himself. So he slowly began to sit, propping himself up on his elbows first before he went still again. Watching y/n's every move with a slight bit of hesitancy in his own.

She took a few deep breaths to calm her heart rate, glaring daggers at the man below her who had the audacity to even think of experimenting on her. She scoffed after a long silence, stepping away from him while rubbing her head a bit to smooth down her scales. Knowing he was watching her the whole time, she smirked as she took a breath and her body changed. Her skin turning a nice (s/t), beautiful (h/c) sprouting from her head all while her tail became oddly nonexistent. Once she was done she turned back to membrane who still lay on the floor. "As fun as this was doc, I've got somewhere else to be." She still held that confident smirk as she turned and started towards the elevator. Doing her best to sike herself up for the ride up to the surface.

Once she was gone behind the elevator doors membrane shot to his feet and scrambled to find his security tablet. Searching through the data and different cameras he smiled under his jacket as he replayed (y/n) shifting over and over and over again. Going back to see how her scales flattened against her body and watched the way her hair grew from her scalp. It amazed him to say the least but he thought back to dib. What would he think if his father suddenly began agreeing with him after all this time? And heaven forbid he tried studying (y/n). The poor kid would end up dead before membrane could even think about it. Membrane shook his head softly, getting rid of the thoughts plaguing his mind as he set to work, studying everything he could of the footage he had from her time down here.

When she finally made it home she calaposed in front of the door, leaning back against it as she let out a heartaching sob. Clutching at her hair as tear ran down her cheeks and her mind went wild with thoughts. Bad thoughts. Very, very, bad thoughts. And no matter how much she tried to push them away they came back time and time again. Even as she hugged her favorite pillow in bed. Made her favorite meal. The thoughts never stopped. Not for days. And she felt as though she was going insane. Her mind constantly racing and her body flinching at every possible noise that made itself known. After a while though, she grew numb. She was sat on the couch, watching a mindless show when her body began moving on its own. She stood up slowly and made her way to the kitchen, her eyes sunken and face tired from many sleepless nights she had to suffer through. It wasn't until she felt something drip onto her hand that looked down at the knife she was holding. A soft gasp left her but she otherwise felt numb. She blinked as she stared at the now bleeding cut that ran vertically down her forearm. It almost followed her veins but she couldn't find it in her mind to worry. So she simply grabbed a towel, wet it, and gently dabbed up the blood before heading to the bathroom to patch it up. She sighed as she sat on her sink, looking down at her arm as her mind replayed the many times before she had felt like this. It was always after something along the lines of kidnapping happening. It was fairly normal on her planet for the males to fight over the women. The women who had no say. No rights. No fight. They could only watch but after a few decades (y/n) could watch no longer. So she began studying. Studying everything. Fighting, writing, science, everything and anything she could get her hands on she learned all she could. Until one day she said goodbye and left. That was only after teaching a few of the males a lesson of course.

She sighed softly again, looking at the clock on her nightstand that she could see from her bathroom sink where she sat. It had been almost two weeks since she went to work. Since she had even been outside. She didn't want to go outside despite bio being so persistent. Speaking of bio, he was currently built into the apartment while she worked on a new body for him. His old was basically destroyed and there was no way she was going anywhere near that damn house ever again.
