When I ran to Maddie, my heart ran a race of joy and excitement.
She looked SO beautiful in her stage makeup. I want to hug her, right then and there.
To snap me out of my Maddie dreams, Jayden shoved and told me that I was on.
"In our 11-13 age category, please welcome Mister Gino with 'Working All Day'! the emcee said into his microphone.
I walked on and made eye contact with Maddie. She gave me a small wave and a mouthed "Good luck". I smiled back, hoping the judges saw it added emotion.
*time skip to the end of solo*
I walked of the stage, feeling confident in myself. Time for group dances.
