Chapter 08

"Ha? For real? Oh my god, Astra! 'Di ko in-expect, ah!" Rean exclaimed when we sat on one of the chairs.

I shrugged my shoulders. "This will be the last chance, Rean." I turn my gaze at Fereo who's quietly eating cookies.

"Okay, gets ko na. It's okay for me naman, since I really know about how the both of you love each other. . . That was destroyed by me," Rean trailed off as she look down, crossing both of her hands.

"You know, there's always things that are meant to be happen for someone to grow and to realize things," I told her, clearing the issue.

This is what I've realized in life. I admit I hate her so much for betraying me. But, I know it was meant to be. For a someone to grow, we need to accept things that we need to.

Just like what happened to us years ago. If that didn't happen, Rean will still be blocked by the mistake she misunderstood. I, I will not grow as I should and I don't know if I could realize that arts isn't for me, but baking is.

After I said those word, she lift her face up. "How about Lexus?"

Parang may kung anong tumusok sa utak ko! Nakalimutan ko siya! How could I make this up to Lexus?

Lumapit sa amin si Fereo at hinarap ako. "Tell me, who is that Lexus?"

"Ahh-."

"Manliligaw niya rin, Fereo!" Rean came up first to answer before me. He almost flipped the table, because he pressed it aggressively.

"Bakit, Astra? Is he more handsome than me? Do he look better than I do?" he interrogated right after he heard what Rean answered.

"To be honest, Fereo. Nauna pa si Lexus na manligaw kay sa sa 'yo!" Rean revealed. I looked at her, glaring.

"Dammit! I don't care about how he looks! I can win you again, I am Fereo Jaizer Cleviste, the best lover of all!" He confidently said as he sit back on his chair.

Bumalik sa may counter si Rean at nag-assist ng costumer. Biglang kong narinig ang boses ni Lexus na kakarating lang ata mula sa labas.

"Rean, narito na ba si Astra?" Halos sabay kaming tumayo ni Fereo mula sa upuan. Si Rean naman ay itinuro ako gamit ang daliri niya.

Agad na lumapit sa akin si Lexus, na para bang wala si Fereo sa tabi ko. "Did the annulment went successful-?"

"Why? Did you wish for it? Yes, the annulment has been stated. But, look at me now, here with her." Tiningnan ni Fereo si Lexus mula ulo hanggang paa. "I guess, you are Lexus."

Bahagyang lumapit sa akin si Lexus at bumulong. "Why is he here?"

I gulped before I answered. "A-ano kasi-."

"I also court Astra. Any problem or objection?" Fereo glared at him, while crossing his arms.

Nakatingin sa akin si Lexus, with his brows furrowed. I smiled slightly at him. Signaling that I'll explain it to him later.

Lexus smirked. "Nothing at all. It's just fine for me that Astra stays at my house."

I saw how Fereo closed his fist together. I glared my eyes at Lexus. "Stop it!" I mouthed.

Sunod rin na nagbato si Fereo. "What should I do with that? She'll be staying at our own house soon, permanently."

"Hep, hep!" Open-arms na lumapit sa amin si Rean at pinaggitnaan si Lexus at Fereo. "Sobrang haba ng buhok mo, ah!" Rean acted like I have the hair on Rapunzel.
