Izzy's POV
I offered to train with Adley because I haven't trained with my niece in a while because I've been busy with the kids. We get in position and I look up at Adley and she is prepared.
"You ready?" I ask her "All set" She replies and we bang our swords together for a while and Adley's getting intense already. She's letting it all out, which means I'm going to lose here.
"That's it, just use all your frustration out. Get the love drama out and feel it." I help her and she does exactly that. "Don't soak it in because you will feel worse if you do." I help her more and she just gets stronger and stronger. "There you go"
Her arms are tight and strong. When her blade hits my two blades Adley almost knocks my blades. I grip on tighter and she hits back harder.
"You are getting really strong, damn." I encourage her and she stays focus. "Your focus is incredible too." She's just killing this
We end up holding our blades against each other for a while and she knocks one of my blades out of my hands and I just have the one left.
"Not so badass now are ya?" Adley messes with me "You sound just like your father." I mess back with her and flip over her and aim right at her chest.
"You would be dead" I tell her and she smiles at me with her hand out to handshake. I grab it and she flips me on my back. I put my hand out just in time to stop me and look at her impressed. "Now that was smooth" Adley smiles proud at me and helps me up.
"Thanks for session teach" Adley thanks me and we put the weapons back and I put my arm around her as we leave.
"Feeling better?" Clary asks Adley "I am, I needed that, thank you aunt Izzy." She thanks me again
"No problem, I'm so glad that helped you. She killed it and me. I would've been dead with those moves." I uplift her and everyone looks at her proud. Scarlett, Abner and Brea come over to us all excited and Scarlett comes up to me so I pick her up in my arms.
"Mommy we saw you and Adley training. That was amazing" Scarlett tells me
"Thank you Scar" Adley and I both say.
"I'm gonna go shower, thank you again aunt Izzy." Adley says to me and I smile at her as I say. "Anytime girl, let me know whenever you need to let it all out again ok." I remind her and she smiles with a nod and goes off to shower.
"How is she?" Clary asks me "Her best friend just told her that he loves her. She's confused and scared right now." I point out to Clary
"I know, she's been through so much lately I just don't want her heart to be broken anymore. She deserves some peace and happiness, it's Adley." Clary tells me and I nod in agreement.
"I'll check on her every now and than. You and Jace don't have to do it all ok." I help Clary out and she smiles at me.
"Thank you Isabelle, that's very kind of you. I'm sure she'll appreciate it too." Clary thanks me and I smile back at her with a nod.
I can't imagine what's going on through Adley's head at the moment. It must be spinning like crazy.
