Alec's POV
I picked Caspian to come with me because I want to know what's going on with him. Maybe he'll be more honest with me than Adley. Even though he should be more honest with Adley.
As we walk in the sewer's for the mission slowly I grab my witch light and Caspian grabs his out too. Now is the time to ask him Alec.
"So, is everything ok? What's going on?" This is so awkward
"You won't leave me alone with this until I tell you right?" Caspian questions me "I will but Adley won't. Plus it'll probably be easier to tell me." I suggest
"Fine, I guess you have a point. I keep on, ah, I keep on having flashbacks of my mom." Caspian admits
"Oh, you know you don't talk about your family at all. What happened?" I ask him and he looks down.
"Sorry, you don't have to tell me but I can tell you feel safe with Adley so you can tell her anything. Even at a young age she was amazing at talking about anything to anyone. For example when she was 4 and she saw someone talking crap to me about being married to a warlock. Adley being her brave self, went up to this person and said. 'If only you knew how beautiful their love story was you wouldn't be talking right now, you would be crying of happiness because that's what my uncles are, happy.' Reminder she was only 4 and she did that. My niece has a golden heart and she is there for everyone she loves. She protects the people she loves. Don't be afraid to be real with her." I advise Caspian
"She said that when she was 4?" Caspian asks in amazement "It's crazy right"
"Look, she'll be there for you. She can do that better than all of us. Don't be afraid to be real and honest with Adley." I hope he listens to this and uses it.
"Alright, you're right I'll tell her. Besides I shouldn't keep it up inside should I?" Caspian asks me and I think back to the time when I couldn't come out to everyone.
"No you shouldn't and I know all about keeping things up inside you. It haunts you and eats you up. It's not worth it" I give him more advise.
"Thank you Alec, you are quite wise." Caspian compliments me
"I'm not as wise as Magnus though. He's the wisest person I know." Great, now I'm distracted with thinking of my beautiful husband and a demon almost scratched but thankfully Caspian saves me. "Thanks for that"
"No problem, now stop thinking about your husband and let's continue killing these demons." Caspian snaps me out of my thoughts.
When we finish the mission and as we're on our way into the institute I see Adley and I look at Caspian.
"Talk to her, now" He looks at her and starts to look nervous. "Don't be nervous, she'll help you through this."
"Thank you Alec, I really appreciate all this." Caspian thanks me "Anytime, now go talk to her." As he walks up to her I give them some privacy and just hope this goes well.
