Adley's POV
My family and I just stare at each other in shock and I have no words.
"Caspian, I can't imagine what he's thinking right now." Mom breaks the awkward silence.
"Adley, are you ok?" Dad asks me and I look up at everyone.
"I just can't believe this. He looked ashamed and shocked all at once." I tell everyone and mom and dad come beside me and put their hands on my shoulders. Than someone walks in and... you have got to be kidding me. "What impeccable timing she has." It's Caspian's mom, so I decide to walk up to her angry and she looks at me.
"Hello, I'm here for someone. Maybe you know him? Caspian Erix is my son and I would like to speak with him." Eve Ravenkey says
"You are such a liar. How dare you?" I say with no control. "Excuse me?" She asks me
"Here we go" Uncle Alec says because they know what I'm about to do.
"How dare you lie to your son all these years and make him think you're dead. You know he barely slept because of what he thought he saw. You put him through hell and lied to him. Also you think you could just waltz right in here and act like you can come back into his life. Well you can't because it's not your decision on that it's his." I stand up for Caspian since he's not here right now.
"Well she told her" I hear uncle Magnus say and mom and dad look at me proudly.
"I don't think you have a right to speak to me like that young lady. Where are your parents?" Eve asks me and mom and dad come behind me.
"Right her and she has every right because your son is her boyfriend." Mom sticks up for me.
"Look lady, my wife and I know a thing or two about parents leaving. No matter what you say to plead your situation with Caspian. What you did was wrong. He deserves better than that." Dad stands up for Caspian which shocks me.
"Thank you Jace" We hear Caspian say and we turn next to our right and there he is. "No problem" Dad tells him and Caspian comes beside me and looks up at his mom.
"I have nothing to say to you." Caspian tells her and she tries to grab his hand but I go in front of him and dad and uncle Alec pull out their weapons.
"Leave him alone" I threaten her "Or what little girl?" Eve calls me
"Hey watch it!" Uncle Alec tells at her quickly and I put my hand up in front of him.
"Who are you?" Eve asks him "Her uncle and the head of this institute." Uncle Alec informs her
"How about you just leave now." Uncle Magnus demands her and she looks at him in awe.
"Ahhh Magnus Bane, of course." Eve says
"Do I know you?" Uncle Magnus asks her "No but I know you. I may need to kill you for power." Eve threatens him
"Don't you dare touch him." I tell her as I hold my sword up to her throat and uncle Alec holds uncle Magnus' hand tight.
"Cute, someone's protective of her family. Fine but I will get him. Caspian, come with mommy honey." How creepy did that sound. As she walks away Caspian yells at her.
"Go to hell!" Damn Cas and she slowly stops and turns back to him. "What did you say? Young man you better watch your language. Come now or I'll have to force you to come with me son." Eve warns him
"Leave him alone" Mom and I say at the same time and we look at each other and look back at Eve.
"Looks like you have a new family but you belong to me. Since the day you were born." Eve tries to pressure him.
"I don't belong to anyone." Caspian tells her
"Guards!" Uncle Alec yells for and as they try and grab her she fights back but she's outnumbered. We knock her out and send her to the jail area.
As we all see her be thrown in, I hold Caspian's hand the entire time.
"As I've said before, go to hell." Caspian tells her and he puts his arm around me as we walk away from her and she yells at Caspian.
"Don't you dare leave me son! You're a fool and a traitor! You hear that! Traitor!" I cannot believe she said that to her own son. As we get further away from her we stop and I just hug him and he cries on my shoulder.
"It's ok, I'm here and I won't leave you. I promise, she can't hurt you." I help him and he holds me tighter and cries louder. He rarely cries and it hurts whenever he does. I even start to cry for Caspian crying.
