I can't believe Lily fell for that. I played her like a violin. She must be so in love with me that she can't see I would NEVER truly be interested in her! Is she really that blind?
I find my friends and tell them what happened. "Is she oblivious or what?" I say when I'm finished with my story.
"Totally," Danny agrees.
"The girl is blind," Jack adds with a sigh. "You'd almost feel bad for her."
"Almost," I say, considering it. "Nah!"
