"Aww, look at him looking for a place to fit in" I laughed at Maya "Don't be mean" I mouthed, her mimicking me in return "You think he'll sit with us?" Riley jumped as he started our way "He'd be stupid not to we look great" I said sliding over so Maya and Riley could too "Ladies and Bubs" I smiled as Farkle slid into the seat
"Farkle" We said in unison as we looked at a retreating Lucas "Interesting lunch line dilemma. Sloppy joe, Chicken pot pie, or Chicken Alfredo? Or Sloppy joe, Chicken pot pie, or Chicken Alfredo?" I stared at him lazily
"Is that all you got?" I asked getting a nod
"That's it! Same time tomorrow" He got up and left "There he is! Invite him to sit down!" Maya nudged her with a smile "With words?" I rolled my eyes "No Riley with hair flipping, Of course with words!!" I said sarcastically getting a slap to the back of the head by Maya "Hey!!! she asked the dumb question" I rubbed the spot before tuning back into the conversation
"How about Hey, Lucas. Looking for somebody special?" "I can't say that!" "Hey, Lucas. Looking for somebody?" "Too forward."
"Hey, Lucas" "Like we're on a first name basis?" I sighed once again "How about just Hey" they looked me as I slumped in the seat Maya laughed combing her fingers through my hair to relax me
"Hey" Riley repeated seemingly thinking it over "Hey back" I looked up to see Lucas not really feeling like getting up I stayed sunk in my chair "Hi. You're sitting here"
"Is that okay?" "Can you excuse me for just one sec?" I rolled my eyes at my friends sitting up as they squealed "it's ok" I made the sign with my hand he nodded as Riley turned back to him "so-" she got cut off by Mr. Matthews "How ya doing?" I got up to get a juice as they continued to talk
"Hey Maya you want something to- WOAH!!!" I couldn't finish what I was saying as I was pulled by a arm into a supply closet "Farkle what are you doing?" I whispered yelled at him "Sorry but I wanted to ask you something" I glared at him "Did you have to pull me in a closet to do that?" he chuckled "Ok I might have went a little overboard with this one" He scratched the back of his neck "What did you wanna ask me anyway" I said stepping back some to find some support so I didn't fall from the dizziness I was feeling
"Are you sick you have been coughing and sneezing this whole week and then you keep getting aggravated so easily and emotional maybe your sick" I went to deny but I lost my balance "Ok maybe I am" I said standing up with the help of Farkle "Come on let's get you to the nurse" I nodded just wanting to lay down
We walked out of the supply closet no one seeming to notice we were in there which made me relieved "Mr. Matthews" Farkle and I walked towards him well more like Farkle walked and I dragged my feet "Ye-" Mr. Matthews turned around about to answer Farkle when he sees me "Is he ok!?" Mr Matthews said picking me up and taking me to the nurse's office " I think he's sick" Farkle commented as he, Riley, Maya ,and Lucas followed after us

"It's nothing serious just a fever all he needs is some rest and he'll be better in no time" My mom nodded as she helped me outta the bed. Mr. Matthews called her to tell her I wasn't doing ok

"Mom it's ok go to work I'll be fine and if I need help I can call one of my friends" I reassured my mom once again as she worried about me "Are you sure!?!" I sighed once again I'm beginning to think me sighing will be a daily occurrence "Totally sure, I'll be alright" I handed her, her bag as she hugged me "Ok I'll be just a phone call away, I love you" She kissed my forehead before leaving out the door "I love you too" I smiled as her figure faded away
"Finally I can sleep" I yawned plopping down on the couch not having enough strength to walk to my room
*Ding Ding*
Ugh why do you hate me life I huffed to the front getting ready to yell at whoever it was for disturbing my sleep "What do you-" I stopped talking as my eyes locked with Farkle's making me smile "Oh, come in" I moved out of the way as he came through the door
"What are you doing here?" I asked walking back over to the couch and sitting down "I didn't want you to be by yourself, so I came to keep you company" He smiled guilty making me quirk my eyebrow "You were eavesdropping weren't you?" I looked at him receiving a shocked expression in return giving me my answer
"If you wanted to see me all you had to do was say so" I teased as he pouted "It's not funny" He exclaimed making me laugh more "It really is" I said laughing harder

"Friends, family, and all you other subterranean mole people. We're here today to celebrate Riley being Riley. Now, some may call this a New York City Subway pass. But you, Riley, can consider this a ticket to the world" I smiled as I stretched finally fever free and energetic as before "You think I'm ready?" Riley looked at her parents "You showed us you are" Mrs. Matthews said with a smile
"Riley, I've already met the world. It's your turn." Mr. Matthews handed her the subway pass "Hey, this isn't so different from Texas. Look, there's a pony." I walked over to the two with a smile on my face "That's a rat" "Where?!!!!" I jumped at Farkle words looking around making them burst out laughing "Rude" I rolled my eyes.
"Ladies" Farkle exclaimed to Gretchen and her friend "Farkle!" I walked towards Farkle wrapping my arms around his neck "Mine" he smiled at me before pecking my nose "Always" He pulled me closer making me smile
"So, where do you wanna go?" Maya said hooking her arms with Riley's
I smiled slithering out of Farkle's grasp and walking over to my Bestfriends and hooking my arms with theirs "Don't know, big world" I nodded at Riley statement "Ours now?" I looked at them with a smile as I asked the question "Yeah, but my dad did say I have to be home by five" "Don't worry. He wrote you a note" Maya and I said in unison as we stepped on to the subway.
Next stop, Astor Place, 14th Street, and the world

"You guys came back and waited for us?" Riley said to her parents and hugged them "Hey, we told you we were always gonna be here for you" As Mrs. Matthews spoke I looked around the station and smiled when I found what, or rather who I was looking for
I waved bye to them and told Maya I would see her at home as they walked off "You waited?" I walked towards my dorky genius "I'll always wait for you no matter what" He said hugging me I rested my head on his "This is the beginning of our world" I muttered kissing his lips for the first time
"If this world has you then there is nowhere I rather be" He said as we pulled back from our first kiss with a smile on both of our faces.
