In Shinji's hospital room, Rei, Asuka, and Hikari were catching up.

The class President of the trio's class had, much like Kensuke and Toji, come to work at NERV.
Through the help of Asuka, Hikari was able to help with a secret project in NERV Germany.
Hikari: So how's everyone at school?
Asuka: Ugh... They're the same. They all worship Shinji.
Hikari: He did save the world.
Asuka: He did, but all the... "Hey, Shinji-kun~", "Shinji-Kun, you're so handsome~"...
Asuka: "Marry me Shinji-kun-senpai~!"
Asuka: It pisses me off. Hilarious at first, but vomit-inducing now.
Hikari: Don't worry Asuka, we all know that you're the fine wine to Shinji's soda.
Rei:...
Hikari: A-and you're pretty popular to Ayanami!
Rei:(drinks water)
A nurse enters the room to take some blood from Shinji for testing.
Asuka: Oh yeah, Toji gives "his regards" if you know what I mean~.
Hikari: He said hi?
Asuka: Oh quit playing dumb, you know you want "his regards".
Hikari:(blushes) Stop it Asuka!
Asuka:(chuckles)
Hikari: Wh-what about you Asuka?
Asuka: What about me? There's a lot to talk about.
Hikari:(smug smirk) What about you and Shinji?
Asuka:?!
Hikari: Are you going to ask for his entry plug anytime soon?
Asuka:(blushing) What the hell!?
Rei: Doubt it.
Asuka: What is that-
(Shatter)
Nurse: AHHHHH!
Upon hearing the nurse scream in surprise, the trio turns to see that Shinji had awakened.
His fist was bloody as he grabbed and crushed the syringe the Nurse used to take his blood.
With a crimson glare, he stared at the nurse who backed away.
Shinji:(blinks)... Hm?
Shinji:(looks at hand) OW!
