Years have passed and currently, I've just gotten admitted to California State University. Since I've gotten the offer already, I accepted it. I don't really want to delay much when it comes to studying in college.

Being in California felt quite new yet so familiar. Probably because I'm at a country in which back with my main language, English. But overall, it's fun to be here.

Am glad people are accepting of me at least.

Currently, I'm just eating lunch at the cafeteria. I'm still new so I don't really have a strong bond with anyone here so I'm gonna have to eat lunch by myself for now. I mean, it is what it is right ?

As I was eating my lunch peacefully, it was then someone, a guy called out my name

"Sophia ?" somebody called out

"Yes ?" I looked up to see who it was and to my surprise, it's Joshua.

What ???

"Oh-- It is you" said Joshua, surprised

"Do you mind, if I sit here ?" he asked and I don't know if I should decline his offer or just accept it

I mean, I don't really care about what happened anymore, but then again, I don't like it being around him especially after what happened.... You know what, maybe it's time to listen to him

"Sure" I replied

"Thank you" he replied with a smile, sitting down facing me

"How have you been ?" he asked

"I'm doing well" I replied

"That's good to hear. It's a surprise to see you in here" he laughed

He seems so different now

"Why would it ? Am I not allowed to be in California or something ?" I raised my eyebrow

"No no it's just, Sarah told me how you've wanted to go to Canada instead of here so I didn't really expect much" he responded

Sarah ???

"You two still keep in contact with each other ?" I asked

"Ever since I've apologized, we began to build up our friendship slowly. We're not that close but you could say we're okay" he replied
