"Alright class, let's settle please" Miss Mayor said as we all started talking amongst ourselves
"You've all come back from Christmas break and that is great but now is the time we need to get started on our next project" she explained before she began to write something on the board
"Explain to me why we've just finished a big ass project. Only to start another one" West groaned leaning back on his chair making both Eldon and I laugh 
"Chill man, it'll probably be something easy again" Eldon said
"Easy? It was pretty fucking hard writing those letters, I don't know what the hell to say to a stranger" West laughed
"You could start with - Hey it's West" I said making him roll his eyes nudging me

"Boys" Miss Mayor said crossing her arms at us, we shot her our usual smile only for her to roll her eyes before we read what was on the board

Letters 2.0

"What the" I said making the boys chuckle
Miss Mayor began to walk the room handing out a binder
"In each of these are 5 letters from one of the students at Messer high" she said making my raise a brow
"They were given the same task you were. Your job, read them. Learn about this person. Then when you are ready. Reach out? Write a reply? Find them on Facebook. Whatever it is" She chuckled
"Then by the end of this, you should have learnt to get to know someone before meeting them" She said
But lets be honest. This was a long winded way of trying to get us all to get along again

"Who did you get?" West asked
"Someone called Jake?" Eldon said
"I got a Harry" West said
"I got a Riley" I said making them all smirk
"Trust you to be the one who gets a girl" Eldon laughed making me roll my eyes

Riley

"this is bullshit" Freddie groaned coming to sit with us at lunch
"Someone clearly doesn't like the English assignment" Laura said making me laugh
"What's up Freddie, worried someone might actually think your a wuss?" Hayden teased
"I won't lie, I like the idea of it" I said making Freddie shot a dagger at me

"Really Riley? You think it's okay for them to read our letters?" He growled
"What on earth did you put in your letters" I laughed, he raised his brow still waiting for a better answer
"I don't mind it really. Like we are all so hell bent on this feud started before we were even born. It'll be nice to see the other side you know?" I asked making the girls nod in agreement
"I just don't like the idea of them knowing us" Hayden confessed

"What's the worst that can happen?" I asked and he shrugged
"They've got our letters, we've got theres. Nobody says we have to reach out, nobody says we have to be friends with them. All you have to do is read the letters" I reminded them

In all honesty, I was excited. I've never understood this feud, I've never cared to entertain it but some people around here.. 
They take it to new height 
Cough Freddie Cough

"I don't like it" Freddie whined
"What don't you like about it?" Aspen asked
"The fact we have to read them, the fact they are reading ours. Need I go on" He groaned
"man, who did you even get?" Hayden laughed
"I don't know, some guy called Alex" He said
"I got a girl name Olivia" Hayden said
"I got a Gracie" Laura said
"I got a Dana" Aspen said before all eyes fell to me
"I got a James" I said making Freddie roll his eyes

"Problem?" I laughed and he shrugged
"Trust you to get a guy" He said making me roll my eyes
"you know Freddie, Jealousy isn't a good look for you" I said ruffling his hair making him swat my hands away

"this is a bad idea" He warned me and I rolled my eyes
"Give it a shot Fred, what's the worst that can happen" I said with a comforting smile which only made him roll his eyes again
