"Father?" a young girl called out the slim man that was towering over her figure. "I want to know about the village, though not their powers, I already know about all them. Pyrokinesis, regeneration, sharp instincts, inhuman strength and all that weird stuff. I want to know why we're not living inside the walls. I questioned you about it years ago, and you said that you would tell me sooner or later!"

The man kneeled down in front of his daughter, who was sitting upright on her wooden bed, the blankets covering her lower legs as her knees were exposed.

He closed his eyes briefly before slowly reopening them, his white pupils being accompanied by a heavy sigh.

Though he opened his mouth to reply, all that came out were distorted words, that couldn't be made out easily.
