The next day Dewey Gale and Jake met up with detective Kincaid to talk about what happened last night
Detective Kincaid: whoever it is is now taking credit for Maureen Prescott's murder
Gale: but we know who killed Maureen Prescott Billy loomis and stu monker
I mean they even told sidney and Jake how they did it
Detective Kincaid: if I'm not mistaken you said in your book that sidney got it wrong before she accused cotton weary of murdering her mother and he was sent away for it maybe there is a third killer sidney might know something
Jake: I told you I don't know where she is and even if there was a third killer neither I or sidney don't know about it
Detective Kincaid: that is for me to decide I need to talk to her she's a key element in this case I have press conference in an hour I need to explain why there are three dead celebrities and a bodyguard
Wallace: and a very angry mayor
Gale: okay we all know this has something to do with stab 3 but we do not know is why the killer keeps leaving pictures of Maureen Prescott taking over twenty five years ago
Detective Kincaid: photographs taken at the same studios stab 3 is shooting out of
Dewey: what does this have to do with sid
Detective Kincaid: who knows more about Maureen Prescott than her own daughter
Dewey: well sid's dad couldn't help you and he was married to Maureen
Wallace: (looking at Dewey) what's your problem last night you were almost charcoal you're gonna help us or what
(As he walks out)
Detective Kincaid: (looking at Dewey) do you want to have this conversation with a polygraph
Dewey: is that a threat Detective

Gale: boys boys why don't we compare our gun calibers later the issue is Maureen Prescott
Detective Kincaid: wrong the issue is sidney Prescott and either Mr. Riley is going to obstruct justice or he's gonna put me in touch with her so where is she
(Sidney's pov)
As sidney walked inside the LAPD as she was greeted by Dewey
Dewey: sid

(As they hug )
Dewey: what are you doing down here
Sidney: ah actually what was I doing up there Jesus Dewey are you okay
Dewey: ah yeah all right
Sidney: is she all right
Dewey: yeah you know Gale she can take a direct hit
Sidney: and how's he doing really
Dewey: ah you know Jake
Sidney: I know that's way I'm asking
Dewey: he's doing fine
Sidney: yeah well I bet I'm the last person he wants to see right now
Anyway the news said this was the precinct who's this guy Kincaid
Dewey: I told you to stay hidden it's not safe for you to be here
Sidney: the killer called me
Dewey: what
Sidney: yeah he found me I'm no more safe there than I am here and at least here I'm not alone
Dewey: okay come on
(As he takes sidney to Kincaid's office where Gale Kincaid and Jake were waiting as they came in )
Dewey: detective Kincaid
Detective Kincaid: yeah
Dewey: there's someone here who wants to help
(As sidney walks in to Gale and Jake's surprise)
Gale: oh my God sidney is the man fast

(As sidney and Gale hug each other)
Sidney: I'm glad you're all right (looks at Jake) that you both are
(Jake gives an eye roll not really believing her )
Gale: thank you
Dewey: uh sid this is detective Kincaid
Detective Kincaid: nice to finally meet you sidney
Jake: let me guess the killer called sid
Dewey: yes
Detective Kincaid: what when
Gale: what did he say
Sidney: oh you know the usual small talk what's new how you've been how do you want to die
Jake: sid do you have any idea how he could have gotten your number
(Sidney shakes her head no )
Detective Kincaid: well he could have monitored calls on a scanner
Jake: (looks at Dewey) did you call her from the set
Dewey: no
Gale: do you have her number stored in your memory
(As Dewey looks like he's thinking)
Jake: phone memory Dewey
Dewey: oh oh yeah I guess I do
Gale: has anyone else ever used your phone
Dewey: just Jennifer (then looks at Detective Kincaid) and you
Detective Kincaid: hey I'm the cop here you're in my office Riley
(While sidney saw the young pictures of her mother on the walls )
Jake: the killer leaves a photograph after each murder sid
Gale: they were taken in Hollywood at the same studio that they're shooting stab 3 at
Sidney: why didn't you tell me this my mother Dewey Jake why didn't either of you say something
Jake: I would've if I knew where the hell you were
Dewey: Jake look I was afraid they were bate something to you trick you out of hiding
Gale: sidney was she an actress or a model because they look a lot like publicity stills
Sidney: yeah I don't know Detective
I want to see this place in the pictures
Detective Kincaid: are you sure
Sidney: absolutely
