the corner where the light used to be,
a lingering shadow drapes within,
things that happened but will never be,
memories faded time and again,
distant scenarios that we may never see,
twisted stories of the broken past,
daunting fears that still creep upon me,
moments passed long before they've been forgotten,
shattered emotions waiting for their moment to flee,
as the time pasts, I continue to ponder,
is this all my life will ever continue to be?
