The moment she saw her grandfather a feeling of overwhelmingness crossed her heart! He seemed to her like a bundle of memories which she experienced through her mother’s stories! Her life was taking a beautiful turn and yet was interrupted by a man who lived in her memories and now showed up with his arms open to offer her all the fatherly love she ever wished for!
Her mind couldn’t process anything but to run towards the old man, hug him and get her fair share of his warmth leaving behind a man on his knees with a ring in his hand waiting for the answer that could change his life forever!
Sana cried in Nanu’s arms….trying to feel her mother in him for as long as possible and Nanu kept on consoling his child and granting all the protection she was craving for!
They finally broke the hug and Nanu wept off Sana’s tears
Naanu: aisa laga jaise teri maa ko gale laga raha hun
Sana: smiled amid her tears and replied….mujhe bhi!
Sana: kaise ho aap Nanu? Sab theek hai na?
Nanu: yeh toh mujhe tujh se puchna chahiye! Kaisi hai tu mera bacha?
Sana: mai theek hun nanu…sab theek hai
Nanu: mujhe maaf kr de Naazo main tera khayal nahi rakh saka! Tere saath itna kuch ho gaya itna kuch bardasht kia tune aur mai tujhe bacha nahi saka (shedding tears) mujhe sharm aati hai khud pr! Na mai preet ka baap ban saka aur na tera nanu! Lekin ab mai aagaya hun na mai tujhe har museebat har takleef se bacha lunga (cupping her face…reassuring her and acting a bit paranoid)
Sana: interrupted….Nanu mai theek hun…..sab theek hai! dekhiye mujhe mai kitni khush hun aur (she walked towards Sidharth and held his hand pulling him to meet Nanu) inse miliye…..he is the reason I am safe healthy and happy Nanu! Yeh hein
Nanu: Sidharth Shukla
Sana: confused…..aap Sidharth ko kaise jante hein
Sid too looked at him with confusion
Nanu: q k isi se tujhe bachane aaya hun mai Shehnaaz! Yeh dhoka de raha hai tujhe! Jhoot bol raha hai tujh se!
Sid: I think koi misunderstanding hui hai sir mai
Nanu: interrupted in a loud tone…..door hatt tu!! Tu sari dunya ko beawaqoof bana skta hai lekin mujhe nahi! Mai apni bachi ki zindagi k saath khelne nahi dunga tujhe!
Sana: nanu aap yeh kya bol rahe hein? Sidharth aisa nahi hai mai pyar krti hun isse
Nanu: sirf tu pyar krti hai naazo! yeh sirf dhong kr raha hai…apni zarooratein poori kr raha hai…jhoot bol raha hai tujhse!
Sana: paused…..kaisa jhoot?
Nanu: kya tune kabhi isse pucha kabhi janne ki koshish ki k jis raat tumlog mile us raat yeh kahan se aaraha tha? Q tha yeh us sunsaan jagah pr?
Sana: hesitating…..he was there to save me Nanu!
Nanu: scoffed….save you? Khud ki jaan lene ka irada krne wale doosron ko bachaya nahi krte Shehnaaz!
She gasped at his words and looked at Sidharth who wasn’t able to meet her confused and questioning gaze anymore!
Nanu: kabhi socha tune k jis ghar ko tu apna ghar kehti hai wahan pehle iske saath kon rehta tha? Ya yun kahun k kon rehti thi? Kon thi iski zindagi me tujhse pehle jise yeh aaj tak bhula nahi paya? Aur kahan dafan ki hein isne us larki ki yadein!
Sana: tears rolled down her eyes and with a breaking voice she said….Sidharth kuch bolo please…..Nanu ko koi ghalat fehmi hui hai na? tum plz aise chup mat raho
Begging in front of him to say something in his defence but all he did was keeping his head down out of shame and unable to give her any of the answers! His silence was worse than a thousand deaths for her! It was proving her wrong….that she was wrong to love him that she was stupid to trust him! his silence was burning her sweet little world to ashes!
She looked at him with disbelief while Nanu held her hand pulling her away to protect her from the man who she believed was her only protector, her destiny her life her eyerything!

While nanu was busy making some calls Sana was standing by the window of nanu’s hotel room and silently staring at the sky! She was puzzled that what exactly the future holds for her? A couple of hours ago her life was about to take a beautiful turn and then an unexpected reunion just shattered all her dreams and hopes! But she doesn’t feel shattered or disappointed or sad or any of the emotions a heartbroken person feels. She felt like as if something was still left….as if this can’t be the end of their story and she needs the answers of all those unanswered questions!
Her trail of thoughts were interrupted when she noticed nanu talking over the phone
Nanu: Hello yes can you please book two tickets for tomorrow morning and…
Sana: interrupted…..aap kya kr rahe hein?
Nanu: flight book kr raha hun
Sana: aap ja rahe hein?
Nanu: hum ja rahe hein?
Sana: confused……kahan?
Nanu: mere saath hamare ghar mera bacha
Sana: mera ghar toh yahi hein Nanu….Sidharth k paas
Nanu: shocked…..tu ab bhi uske paas jana chahti hai? us dhokebaaz k paas?
Sana: wohh mujhe kabhi dhoka nahi de skta Nanu wohh mujhe kabhi hurt nahi kr skta (with her hopeful moist eyes)
Nanu: sighed…..apni aankhen khol meri bachi! Usne apna past chupaya hai tujhse. Pyar me insan jhoot nahi bolta pyar me insan be wafai nahi krta Naazo
Sana: usne koi be wafai nahi ki Nanu! Agr usne mujhse kuch chupaya hoga toh wohh sirf isliye taake mujhe dard se bacha sake!
Nanu: sighed….tu is waqt bilkul Preet ki tarah batein kr rahi hai! uski aankhon pr isi tarah patti bandhi thi jise wohh ishq samajh baithi aur usi ishq ne uski jaan leli
Sana: Sidharth Papa jaisa nahi Nanu! Don’t you ever compare him with Papa again (sternly with her eyes turning red with anger)
Nanu: tu us larkay k liye apne Nanu se aise baat kr rahi hai? q kr rahi hai apne saath aisa Naazo? Q??
Sana: q wohh tha Nanu! Wohh tab tha jab koi nahi tha! Usne mujhe un andheron se nikala jinhe mai apni qismat samajh kr qubool kr chuki thi! Usne mujhe dobara hasna sikhaya khush rehna sikhaya jeena sikhaya and that your love for someone shouldn’t be at mercy of some questions! Wohh tab mojood tha jab mujhe kisi apne ki sab se zyada zaroorat thi….aur aaj jab usay meri zaroorat hai toh aap chahte hein k mai usay aise beech raste chor dun aur aapke saath chali jaun? Nahi nanu aapki Naazo shayad na samajh ho lekin itni darpok nahi hai k apne Sidharth ka saath na de sake!
Nanu: sighed….tune mujhe bht disappoint kia hai aaj! Mujhe nahi pata tha tu apni maa ki tarah bewaqoofi karegi! Teri nazar me bhi meri baat ki koi value nahi hai
Sana sighed and held his hands
Sana: aisa nahi hai Nanu…mai aapki bht izzat krti hun isliye toh aapke saath yahan aagai lekin mai Sidharth ki bhi bht izzat krti hun isliye mujhe uske paas wapas jana hoga!
With that she left his hands and turned to leave for her home
Nanu: Naazo!
She stopped at his voice
Nanu: mai uper wale se mangunga k tera dil na tootay lekin agr toot jaye toh yaad rakhna k tu jab chahe wapas aa skti hai mai apni ghaltian dohrana nahi chahta isliye mai rahunga tere liye….hamesha!
She smiled amid her teary eyes….nodded and left!

She opened the main door and entered the house! She looked around and found Sidharth laying on the couch in the living area with his one arm resting over his forehead! She smiled and pushed him to make space for her on the couch which made him open his eyes! He confusingly adjusted himself and she snuggled into his warmth peacefully!
Sid: I thought I lost you!
Sana: maine bola tha na itni asaani se peecha nahi chorne wali tumhara!
Sid: with a weak smile…..what if your grandfather isn’t wrong! What if I am actually hiding something from you or betraying you!
Sana: hmm…..seh lenge thora (chuckled)
He clicked his tongue and sat upright on the couch
Sid: Mazak mat karo Sana…I am serious!
Sana: sighed and rested her head on his shoulder……I am not stupid Sidharth….i know you have been hiding something from me for a long time now
Sid: amazed…..why didn’t you question me then?
Sana: I was waiting to be able to earn your trust
Sid: huhh?
Sana: yeah I was just waiting….k ek din aayega jab tum khud apne dil ka haal mujhse share karoge aur mujh pr itna trust kr sakoge k mujhse apna har secret share kr sako!
Sid: cupping her face immediately…..that’s not true baby….i tust you….i trust you with my life
She smiled and nodded while his mind flashed with a memory!
A girl in her weak voice and among her hitched breaths “ I trust you….i know you will save me”
Sana noticed him lost again
Sana: sighed….do you love her?
Sid: nodded….i do….and I wish I could love her more
Sana despite of being scared from the truth he was about to reveal questioned further
Sana: naam kya hai uska?
Sid: gulped his saliva down…..Sia!!
