The New Guy (Scooby-Doo Movies x Male reader) Vol 1

Chapter 1 The return of Mystery inc.

A Year after the gang had split up we find ourselves at Dinkley's Mystery Books with our Protagonist helping Velma sort out her book store. At the moment Velma is on the phone talking to a customer while Y/n is reading a Horror novel by H.P. Hatecraft called Char Gar Gothakon the Beast That Hath No Name.  

Velma: uh huh Yes, we do carry the Hair Raisers series ... Number 23, The Vampire Village?... Got it. Number 24, The Creepy Clown Town? .... Got it. Number 25, Menace at Mummy Manor? .... Got it .... Yes, I'll hold them till Tuesday.  Two weeks from Tuesday? Yea, that's fine, bye.

Y/n: Need a hand with those, Velm?  

Velma: Nah I've got it. 

Velma then picks up the large stack of books and moves them onto a table next to a small TV that's playing an interview with Daphne Blake which Velma begins to watch.

Velma: Solving mysteries was a lot more fun than selling them.

Y/n: Then why quit? 

Velma: It lost its Pazzas that it used to have back when we were kids.

Y/n sees now as he puts his book down that Velma is looking longingly at the Tv screen 

Y/n: Bet you miss it tho? 

Suddenly a phone goes off and Velma is distracted by the show she's watching so Y/n answers it 

Y/n: Hello Dinkley's Mystery Books How can I help?

??(Phone): is Velma there?

Y/n: one sec.

Y/n puts the phone to his shoulder and calls to Velma

Y/n: Velm, its for you.

Velma: Who is it?

Y/n: I don't know? I'll check.

Y/n puts the phone back to his ear

Y/n: She wants to know who it is.

Fred(phone): oh tell her its Fred Jones 

Y/n: As in Mystery Inc, Fred Jones?

Velma perks up herring this turning to Y/n

Velma: Freddy?

Fred(phone): Y-yea, can I talk to Velma now? 

Y/n looks over at Velma and puts the phone toward her

Y/n: Its Fred Jones. 

Velma then snatch's the phone out of Y/n's hand making him grow at shocked the speed. 

Velma: Hi Fred ..... yea its me ..... Jinkies! Sounds Great. Count me in ... oh are you ok if I bring a plus one? ... Great I'll ask him

Velma puts the phone to her shoulder 

Velma: Hey Y/n? 

Y/n: Yea Velm, I'll take care of the shop while your gone 

Velma: No, I'll get the others to do that I want you to come with me and join Mystery Inc.

Y/n: Huh?!

Time Skip to about an hour later with Y/n Meting the Gang 

Fred Pulls up to the book store with the Mystery Machine having already picked up Shaggy and Scooby form their job as TSA agents 

Fred: alight were here 

Velma and Y/n walk out of the book store before Velma begins introduction's 

Velma: Y/n this is Fred, Fred the guy you spoke too on the phone

Fred: Nice to meet you in the flesh, Y/n
