"It's been a few hours, so I'm going to head back down and talk to my dad before helping Paps cook dinner. You gonna be okay down here?" Frisk murmured, standing up and glancing down at the other human beside her. "Chara? You good?"
He was silent, staring forward at the ground and his hands. Frisk sighed and took his silence as some form of a yes before turning and looking at the corridor's exit. Taking a breath, she figured out what to say before a searing pain soared through her side. She glanced down and coughed, barely reaching out toward the figure before suddenly being embraced in a panicked state.
"Fuck! I'm so sorry! I just... I-I-I don't know-"
"Just shut up and get it out already," she muttered, bringing a small candy bar to her mouth and taking a bite. "It's not like I blame you, you're not in a good mental state right now and I should have kept my guard up instead of dropping it like a little kid."
She bit down on the candy bar as the pain flared up before subsiding. She looked at him before giving him a gentle bap on the head and turning to leave. Chara sighed and watched her vanish out through the exit, silence buzzing around him before he tossed the knife at the wall and sat down again. Idiot. Shut up. No.
Frisk slid down the mountain, tossing a glance back up to the top through the trees as she reached the bottom. I hope he'll be okay. Dad's likely going to freak when he sees the tear in my sweater. She took a breath and snapped, appearing before a tired Gaster and a borderline asleep Sans.
"Frisk, what happened?" She brushed her hand over the tear and smiled weakly.
"May have been attacked by Chara. ✋︎❄︎❼︎💧︎ ☠︎⚐︎❄︎☟︎✋︎☠︎☝︎ ❄︎⚐︎ 🕈︎⚐︎☼︎☼︎✡︎ ✌︎👌︎⚐︎🕆︎❄︎📪︎ ☟︎☜︎❼︎💧︎ ☺︎🕆︎💧︎❄︎ 👌︎☜︎✋︎☠︎☝︎ ✌︎☞︎☞︎☜︎👍︎❄︎☜︎👎︎ 👌︎✡︎ ❄︎☟︎☜︎ 🕈︎✌︎☼︎ ❄︎☟︎☼︎☜︎✌︎❄︎ ✌︎☠︎👎︎ ✌︎☹︎☹︎ ❄︎☟︎✋︎💧︎ ✋︎👎︎✋︎⚐︎❄︎✋︎👍︎ ☠︎⚐︎☠︎💧︎☜︎☠︎💧︎☜︎ ❄︎☟︎✌︎❄︎ ✋︎💧︎ ☟︎🕆︎💣︎✌︎☠︎💧︎ 👎︎✋︎💧︎☹︎✋︎😐︎✋︎☠︎☝︎ 💣︎⚐︎☠︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎💧︎ ✌︎☝︎✌︎✋︎☠︎📬︎ ✋︎❼︎💣︎ ☞︎✋︎☠︎☜︎📪︎ 💧︎✌︎☠︎💧︎📪︎ 🏱︎☹︎☜︎✌︎💧︎☜︎ 💧︎❄︎⚐︎🏱︎ 💧︎❄︎✌︎☼︎✋︎☠︎☝︎ ✌︎❄︎ 💣︎☜︎ ☹︎✋︎😐︎☜︎ ❄︎☟︎✌︎❄︎📬︎" she muttered as she cast a glance at her terrified brother. Gaster gently took her hand and sighed, slowly healing her a bit and grabbing a sweater.
"Here, change so I can fix up your sweater for you." She took it and smiled a bit as the two glanced away, Gaster tossing one of his coats up to hide her. She changed and stepped out, handing her ruined sweater to her father and hugging Sans.
"kiddo, i know you care about chara a lot, but i have a bad feeling regarding him. i don't know what he might do, but i don't really want to find out," he muttered as she looked at his empty eye sockets. She sighed, placing her hands gently on his cheeks,
"I know, Sansy. How about this, you and I can make some meals and prepare a few days' worths of food and Dad can bring it to Chara? Dad is a lot stronger than us and can easily deal with him if things get messy." Gaster chuckled as the pair disappeared into the kitchen.
"Why is Chara angry?" a small voice piped up from beside him. He gently waved his hand and pulled the human up and onto his lap, sighing a little.
"He is currently dealing with quite a few mental problems, Alma. Recall how your father gets rather twitchy if something goes horribly wrong?" he asked, looking at her as she nodded. "It's like that for him, however, unnecessary violence is the factor affecting him. Sans and Frisk are going to make him some food so I can deliver it to him for a few days."
Alma nodded and leaned against him, humming a bit. Gaster smiled and held her close, leaving some hands to type as he joined his children in the kitchen of the lab.
"Chara, are you still in here?"
"Corridor, G. I'm in the corridor!"
Gaster smiled weakly as he stepped into the corridor and walked down slowly to the human who was muttering silently to himself. Setting the bag down gently, he leaned against the pillar and stared at the colored light stretching across the soft tiles. The silence buzzed, occasionally broken by the sounds of the bag rustling a bit.
"Thanks."
"Of course. I-" Gaster was cut off as his phone buzzed wildly. Answering, his face changed from concern to rage, his interaction with the human being cut short. "Sorry, Chara. I have some... things to deal with. Enjoy your food, and please be safe." He snapped and glanced out the window before him.
"❄︎☟︎☜︎✡︎ ✌︎☼︎☜︎ ☞︎⚐︎⚐︎☹︎✋︎💧︎☟︎ ✌︎☠︎👎︎ 👍︎☹︎☜︎✌︎☼︎☹︎✡︎ 💣︎✋︎☠︎👎︎☹︎☜︎💧︎💧︎📬︎ 👎︎⚐︎ ❄︎☟︎☜︎✡︎ ☠︎⚐︎❄︎ 🕆︎☠︎👎︎☜︎☼︎💧︎❄︎✌︎☠︎👎︎ ❄︎☟︎☜︎ 👎︎✌︎☠︎☝︎☜︎☼︎💧︎ ⚐︎☞︎ 💧︎🕆︎👍︎☟︎ ✌︎ 🏱︎☼︎⚐︎❄︎☜︎👍︎❄︎✋︎✞︎☜︎ 👎︎☜︎☞︎☜︎☠︎💧︎☜︎✍︎" he shouted as he reached up. Stepping out of the lab, he growled at the humans, watching them scatter at the sight of the bones and blasters that appeared around him. A few shouted at him, but he simply waved his hand and watched them fumble about in the massive black goo surrounding them.
"I suggest you all LEAVE before I find some way to include you in my experiments," he threatened, raising his hands as the sound of several blasters wound up behind him. "Unless you truly want to join, which I WOULD HAPPILY PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY UNTO YOU!" He chuckled a little as the humans fled, leaving him standing there with blasters and goop staring after them. Finally. I should check on everyone in the lab. I have a feeling Undyne and see to the others in the city since the gate is not damaged too badly. He scooped up the black liquid as he hurried back to his lab, his breathing shaky as he entered and called out to his family.
"We're okay, Dad! The souls are safe! Sans went to check on Papyrus and help in the city!" Frisk called as she rounded the corner and hugged him. He lifted her head as he leaned down to kiss her forehead,
"He left you here all alone? If something happened to you, the souls - Alma -"
"Dad, please. Sans knows that. He wouldn't leave unless he knew it would be under control. Besides, I did warn him," Frisk said, hugging her father again. "Please, don't worry about me right now."
"Alright, dear."
