"LIFE IN GOTHAM CITY WAS ALWAYS CORRUPTED" that's a phrase dick always heard from Alfred maybe Alfred knew something that dick didn't however, Alfred saw the world differently in a way that dick eventually saw too before dick knew it he was working a double shift for the Gotham City police department
It was always busy there dick however just needed a hobby he liked working there it kept his mind busy he liked helping people but it was no secret dicks specialty was helping kids he was good with them he had a way of understanding their pain like no one else that's why they kept him despite him sometimes being late or cocky
It surprisingly was a slow day in the department the sound of typing laptops And chattering pierced dicks ears as he was in a deep staring contest with his laptop that was interrupted by files being slammed on his desk, dick looked up to see James Gordon staring at him
"This case suits you" Jim spoke as he smiled at the young detective "depends what's the case" dick replied while opening the file "guess you'll have to read it" Jim spoke as he turned away from dick with a smile "gee thanks for the help commissioner" dick mumbled as he rolled his eyes and proceeded to read the file there was a missing girl

"THE GIRL WAS KNOWN TO HAVE ABILITIES THAT NO ONE COULD EXPLAIN" That intrigued dick as he knew a lot about gifted children it wouldn't be the first time he dealt with something like that dick was more than happy to take the case "top of the morning Grayson" a familiar voice called out to the detective dick spun his chair around to see Lucius fox smiling above him "Lucius..?" dick said as he scrunched his face in confusion
"The one and only " Lucius replied with a smile "what's up..?" dick spoke as he crossed his arms the man "I figured Jim might've told you" Lucius replied as he raised a brow at the detective, "told me what," dick said while scrunching his brow at Lucius "S.H.E.I.L.D was called in to handle the case with us" Lucius spoke while closing his eyes confidently
Dick was dumbfounded he's never heard of these people and he's been working for a while he stood there confused "who are those people" dick replied to Lucius after a long pause "They specialize in helping gifted people they make them better people" Lucius said while crossing his arms Dicks eyes widened as he heard that He didn't want her abilities to be a prize that everyone wanted he genuinely wanted to help the girl
"Yay" dick mumbled sarcastically while Lucius turned away "they're here" Lucius dragged on the detective got up and ran toward the plane only to bump into a girl and knock over her files Dick quickly bent down without looking at the girl to pick them up "I'm sorry I was-" dick was cut off as he looked up at the girl and froze he knew those eyes from anywhere that was her it had to be right? Dick thought to himself
Without saying a word the girl collected her files and walked away The detective's suspicion was confirmed when he saw the name tag that read "daisy johnson" dick mumbled to himself maybe she didn't remember him maybe she couldn't Talk dicks thoughts went wild after that
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the captain's voice "can we all gather in the meeting room please" Jim spoke as he turned and made his way to the room the detective quickly followed not wanting to be late to another event the girl grazed his shoulder and locked eyes with him for a split second that felt like forever
the girl made her wait to the projected screen and began to speak "good morning detectives" dicks eyes widened at the sound of her voice she glared at him noticing his face as she scrunched her face in confusion "I am agent daisy Johnson as we know we've got a missing kid a gifted one at that"
Everything started ringing the detective sat there staring at her Dick didn't hear the speech he was too Focused on the girl he found himself Remembering when he saw her for the first time "shes changed since then" dick thought to himself he was noticing every detail that was simply perfect her hair, her eyes, her awkward smiles, her voice dicks thoughts were interrupted by the brunette snapping her fingers in his face
"Get up we need to talk" the girl spoke while lifting him by his tie "I'm sorry what exactly is your problem again" Dick replied pretending he didn't know her "drop the act robin" the girl spoke while crossing her arms at the detective a smile appeared on his face "so it is you huh? ..daisy.." he said while grabbing her name tag on her waist
Making the girl scrunch her face in anger " knock it off Grayson what are you doing here" the girl spoke in an angry tone as she crossed her arms "I work here" dick shouted back at her While packing his files "that's no excuse dick" daisy replied as she rolled her eyes at him "what's your deal" dick replied while standing in front of her
What is my deal seriously? Daisy thought to herself as she sat there biting her lip in anger "look if we're going to be forced to work together it should be on solid terms" daisy replied While pointing her finger on his chest
"Then it will be" dick replied while looking down at her finger "okay then you do your thing ill do mine," the girl said as she walked away from him

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN MASTER GRAYSON," Alfred said as he noticed dick barging through the doors "had a bad day" dick replied while walking toward his room he opened the door and stood there in shock to see the girl sitting on his bed reading more files he noticed the bruises on her knuckles "how can she sit there and still look so gentle," dick thought to himself the girl looked up and glared at him without saying a word
"What do you think you're doing here" Dick said as he crossed his arms leaning on the doorframe "solid terms Grayson solid terms.." daisy replied as she gave him a slight smile and continued to flip through the pages
"You know I never understood what happened to you" dick replied as he sat next to her the girl seemed infuriated How could he be so calm he left he lied to her it was obvious she was pissed "What?" dick replied in a high tone as he let out a small laugh "there's no possible way that sound came out of dick Grayson," the girl thought to herself
She was interrupted by dicks phone ringing "whos that" the girl spoke as she leaned over to see his phone "Its Gordon" dick replied as he swiped his phone to answer "this is Grayson" dick answered while putting the phone on speaker "we found your girl can you come into the department" dick glared over at daisy who nodded her head "On my way" dick replied while staring at the girl
