MAHIR

I was standing with a shame and Bela was sobbing sitting on the couch.Mahira shouldn't have seen our fight.

She was crying very badly hiding her face in the crook of Vish's neck.Both Vish and Yuvi were looking at me and Bela angrily.

"What is this Mahir bhai?"Yuvi asked rubbing Mahira's back.

I closed my eye's in frustration.

"Mahira..baby don't cry,it's OK",Vish was patting her back.

Suddenly Mahira started coughing due to her crying.Both me and Bela got up and went near them,
"Mahira..what happened?"Bela sobbed trying to take her in her arm's.

"Noo..",Mahira hiccupped and hugged Vish tightly.

"Vish..make her drink this..cough syrup",Bela said giving the medicine.

"I know..you..",Mahira cried looking at me and Bela.

Vish angrily took the medication from Bela and sat on the couch along with Mahira and Yuvi.

They both made her drink the syrup,and Mahira drank it immediately.She was still sobbing hugging Yuvi.

They both were comforting Mahira,and here I and Bela were standing like a shameful parents.

Slowly Mahira drifted to sleep in their arm's.My heart was paining when she was looking damn scared,looking at me and Bela fighting.

"She slept?"Vish asked caressing her hair's.

"She slept,my baby",Yuvi said kissing her forehead.

"I'll make her sleep inside and come,give her to me",Vish said.

She took Mahira and went to our room.

Yuvi was looking at me with disbelief,and I couldn't meet his eye's.Vish came out locking our room's door.

"What is wrong with you both Bela?"Vish asked.

"What was this Mahir bhai?You don't see a little girl around you when you both are accusing each other like this?"Yuvi asked.

"What happened to you Bela?"Yuvi asked.

Bela sobbed covering her face and Vish hugged her,
"Belaa..it's OK,don't cry",Vish rubbed her back.

She was crying her heart out to her friend.And again,I'm the reason for her tears,we both are.

Yuvi motioned me with his eye instincts.I nodded and walked towards them,I sat beside them and Vish looked at me angrily.

I was going to touch Bela,but Vish nodded as 'no'.

I sighed and closed my eye's,calming myself.

What the hell is happening with me and Bela?

Bela stopped crying and sat straight wiping her tears.I looked at her and she looked at me.

"Mahir bhai..you know?Already a month has passed",Yuvi said.

I realized it,we have more five months left.

"And what are you both doing Mahir?Fighting like this daily?"Vish asked.

"Bela,this is not the time to fight.Are you getting it?"Vish asked.

"I get it,we don't..we don't fight on purpose",Bela sobbed.

"Then what was this?We could hear your both yellings from so far.And Mahira,did you see how she cried looking at you both like that?"Yuvi asked.

"I am trying so hard to mend my mistakes and make our relationship work.Bela..she isn't responding,I don't know..why she is hating me to this extent",I said angrily.
