 ''The biggest connection between death and love is guilt''.

'fuck, I'm totally screwed'.

(y/n) screamed internally and at that moment one and only thought came to her mind:' it's either I kill him or get killed '.

but the warmth she felt when his strong arm pulled her down on top of him made this situation bring big changes afoot.

Manjiro who had the girl on top of him switched their position so he was the one who was blocking her between his arms by now while they gazed deeply into each other's eyes.

her rosy thin lips were gaping at this unexpected turn of events, lost for words and her mind start doing all kinds of scenarios.

yet, as soon as she came back to reality, the first thing she did was hide the pointy knife that she was holding between her pale hands in the leather gloves she was wearing, and that would hide any evidence of her trying to get rid of the invincible Bonten's leader.

the white-haired male had a very light smile almost faint while he asked in his raspy voice tone:''do you agree?''

(y/n) was dumbfounded but she tried to remain calm and answer:''about what?''

''don't you think that the biggest connection between death and love is guilt?''

'' I think that's right.''

''why though?''

'' when someone dies, and this person is someone you hold dear, he is very special to you ... let's say it's your lover, wouldn't you feel guilty because you couldn't save him from the darkness that steals their soul and took them to a place where you can't either see them nor be with them?''

''you sound like you went into some kind of situation like this''.

''well...didn't you?''

''um, love is scary. this feeling terrifies me because the only way it ends with hitting the ground.''

''not when the person you share feelings with catches you.''

''Since we're talking about that, I'm catching you to sleep with me tonight.''

''what do you mean?''

''that's your punishment for breaking into a private property.''

'' should I get my pillow then?''

''you won't need it, come here.''

he opened his arms and signed for her to put her head on his chest and so she did.

''I must admit it, this is way more comfortable than my pillow.''

''by the way, aren't you gonna tell me what were u spying on in my room?''

''the truth is that I couldn't fall asleep since tomorrow night we have a mission to execute, not to mention that it's my first.''

'' So you came to check on me?''

there was a long silence after the last saying of Manjiro and with that, he knew that (y/n) fell asleep and so he followed and teleported to the sky of dreams.
