Bright light hit her sight, It was the kind of brightness that enchants the eyes to open wider and warms the skin. and then her vision was clearer, she was sitting on a sanded floor where giant off-white candles surrounded her forming a big circle, but it felt oddly safe.

it was as if she was wrapped in go's perfect love, a fresh breeze of air hitting her face which was followed by some black veiny butterflies that were In an aromatic spring dance that was practically located around her stomach.

it was weird to have those butterflies there but it was filled with an inner peace that she felt deep in her soul.

a high masculine but peaceful voice spoke to her in the emptiness of the place saying:

'' what is within you might be the key to your coming misery, but make sure to keep it safe and sound, after all, it's gonna be the only legacy left from him to you.''

as soon as that was said, (y/n) opened her eyes wide as she was breathing heavy and sweat was all over her face.

she calmed down a little feeling Manjiro's arms embracing her and she let out a deep relieved breath that it was all a dream but it still felt so strange for her.

''you awake princess?''

it was Mikey's voice now that whispered those words to her ear, as a matter of a fact this white-haired male was a very light sleeper so any little sound or move and he's awake, but it was nice for (y/n) to see him sleep deeply that night.the guy adjusted his position on the wooden bed, putting the fluffy pillow behind his back while he extended his right hand to the gentle figure of the girl that was panting beside him and pulled her to his lap.

they were now sitting face to face, eyes locked with each other and hands rubbing the back of the woman in a circular motion to make her feel at ease again.Mikey then cupped her face gently and brushed her cheeks with his thumb while he planted kisses all over her face.

''you know Mikey...my mind has always had this scary capability of being dark and demented.''

''it's okay baby, I've never really comforted anybody, but don't worry it was all a dream.''

'I really don't deserve you, Manjiro' he stuttered in her brain.

''I think I need to go to the bathroom.''

''if you need anything just tell me, princess.''

''it won't take long, I promise.''

he gave her a sweet smile to reassure her while his eyes followed her silhouette until she entered the bathroom.As for the girl, as soon as she stepped inside the washroom she went to the sink and kept on staring at the mirror.

''I really need to tell you the truth Mikey, I don't deserve you, I hate myself for that...why do I have to fall in love with you? my mission was the only thing I was good at my whole life, killing...but here I am doing an unforgivable mistake that even I was disgusted by it.''

tears started flowing on her cheeks and her eyes started to become red and puffy.

''if telling you the truth will make you safe and sound, then I'll do it, if telling you the truth will keep you on the top of the world wearing your golden crown, then I'll gladly do it... it's just that I feel hard in your love that I myself cannot break free of it.''

as those words were out of her mind she tried to wipe her tears away, to stand up strongly like she always has done, and to tell the man that stole her heart away from the truth, that she assumed was for his own good so he can be prepared to his foes.

as she touched the metallic door knob willing to open it and reveal the truth, she heard the crystal windows shuttering because of the exposure of gas bombs, and the bullets of the guns breaking through the glass and there she knew what was happening.
