The next day I woke up with no hesitation, sort of excited to go to school. I'm not sure why, but I was really motivated.

I got ready, making myself look better than I usually do. I had a lot of confidence this morning.

I went to the kitchen. I saw my mom and she looked at me, surprised that I was actually up and ready at this time.

She grabbed a plate of bacon and scrambled eggs and put it on the kitchen table.

"You're up early" she said.

"Yeah, I'm ready too!" I said jokingly.

"Well sit down and eat, I made some good breakfast."

I sat down and my mom did aswell.

"Tell me all about last night." said mom.

"Well.. it was interesting."

"Interesting.. how?"

"Well I have two senseis. One is Mr. Larusso and the other is Mr. Lawrence."

"Lawrence? Like, Johnny Lawrence?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Oh my goodness! I remember him from high school! He was cute."

"Mom!"

"What? It's the truth."

I rolled my eyes in a joking fashion.

"Anyways.. we started at the basics. Apparently there are two different styles. One uses 'kata' and the other is "all American karate" I guess.. Anyways, I started with Mr. Larusso. He had me washing cars for a long time. Apparently it's called the "soap on, crap.. off..."

"Washing cars?" said mom. "Are you sure he's teaching you karate, or is he making you do his dirty chores?"

"Mom, it's muscle memory. I'm sure it's fine."

"Okay fine. I trust Daniel."

"Me too." I said, finishing my breakfast.

I got up and washed my plate.

I looked at the time.

I had to leave for the bus, so I hugged my mom and left.

I walked on the bus, and Anthony smiled and waved at me.

I waved back, grinning.

"Hey, come sit with us!" said Ant.

"Well, I really shouldn't. Kenny-" I tried to say, but Zack interrupted me.

"What? The nerd? What about him?"

"He's not a nerd. He's my friend. Im sitting with him. Maybe another time."

"Yeah, okay that's fine." said Anthony.

Kenny walked on, sitting in the seat I was in.

"Hey Ken." I said, grinning.

"Ken?" he asked, confused about the new nickname I had for him.

"Yeah, like the barbie doll." I said, giggling.

He shook his head, smiling.

"Hey, Lia asked me to hang out tonight, wanna come?" said Kenny.

"You're friends with Lia?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's so cool." he answered.

"Okay, I'll come!"

"Great, I'll send you the details."
