*Warning. Spoilers for Kuro Neko that I have gotten from the trailer/preview of the episode. If you do not want to know anything about the future episode, do not read. Thank you.*

Just from the trailer alone, I already have plenty of feelings about the episode. And also just from the trailer, I can already see the giant flood of hate that Adrien/Cat Noir is going to be getting from the episode.

Everyone that knows me and reads my stuff knows that I am one of the biggest Adrien fans that there are. But even as a fan of his, I know that he has his flaws. Such as when he almost gave up his miraculous during Syren or how he had been acting in Glaciator. I am not going to be one of those Adrien fans that excuse everything he does and tries to make him out like a perfect flawless angel. But if there is one thing that I know, it is that Adrien deserves a lot better than what he is getting on the show.

Season 4 has basically taken his character and turned him into either just the focus of Marinette's crush or a plot device or episodes like Lies. He is barely in any episodes and even when he is, he is barely even a part of it. Adrien barely said two lines in Mr.Pigeon 72 and he had been turned into a pigeon before he was even able to transform. Plus, even with the episode Gabriel Agreste, the focus had been on Felix even when the episode was supposed to be about Adrien's father. Ephemeral was the only episode that even closely focused on him. But again, it was for barely any time. Adrien was akumatized in the last few minutes of the episode and he did not even get to talk while he was transformed.

I get that Marinette is supposed to be the main character, but Adrien/Cat Noir is supposed to be her partner and she treats him like a sidekick. Actually, she treats him worse than a sidekick.

Pretty much since the season began and even before that, Marinette has treated Cat Noir pretty much the opposite of how she says. She always says that they are partners, that they are equals, and yet she does not actually treat him like that. She was the one that was trained by the previous guardian, she is the one that gets to choose new heroes, she was the one made into the new guardian, she is the one that the Ladyblog was named after. Cat Noir is constantly pushed to the side and treated like he just needs to stand there and do as told. Treated like he is nothing without Ladybug.

Everyone is always saying that he sexually harasses Ladybug, that he never takes no for an answer, that he does not deserve Ladybug, that he will do anything to find out her identity, that he is obsessed with her, that he does not respect her. Well, if you call him out on things like that, let's turn that around to the girl those people treat as the angel that can do no wrong. Marinette.

Sexual Harassment: While not actual harassment, Marinette does stalk Adrien. Sometimes even for hours and to different locations like when August was akumatized into Gigantitan. Not to mention how much of a stalker she is with how she has a wall of pictures of him as well as having him as her computer screen as well.

Never Takes No For An Answer: While Adrien has never actually rejected Marinette, he had repeatedly put her in the friend zone. Plus, he also dated Kagami, with who he had an actual romantic connection with. And yet even with all that, Marinette still keeps trying to confess her crush to him.

Does Not Deserve Him/Her: Marinette has continued to treat Cat Noir as a sidekick and kept him in the dark multiple times. For someone that is the guardian, she sure does not seem to use her resources to her advantage, such as talking out her stress with the person that is supposed to be her partner. The very partner that has sacrificed his life for her to live like in Timebreaker.

Identity: Cat Blanc might have been where Adrien was wrong for learning about Marinette being Ladybug and not telling her, but Ephemeral was about Marinette learning he was Cat Noir and did not tell him. She even completely abandoned the plan she had for Viperion to learn, even when he already knows, and then reverse time. She abandoned that the moment she saw Adrien and went into "crush mode."

Obsessed: As I have said, she had a wall of pictures of him as well as him as her computer screen. And other than the stalking, she also teamed up with Chloe to sabotage Kagami at the movie premiere. She also only confronted Lila as Ladybug because she was jealous of the attention Adrien was giving Lila. Plus, she also abandoned the four kids she was watching to her grandfather just to help Adrien with a photoshoot during Simpleman. Plus, the fact that she has his entire schedule written down is very creepy and stalkerish. Which definitely also relates to how she has presents for him dating to when he would be fifty years old. Again, super creepy.

Does Not Respect Him/Her: There is the "I love you" message that she sent him on the anniversary of his mother's disappearance when she should have sent him something heart-warming to help him on that tragic day but instead made it all about her loving him. There is also that just because she sent him an embarrassing voice message, so she stole his phone to delete it. Not to mention, again, her sabotaging Kagami with the help of Chloe of all people.

And this brings me to season 4, where his character has been mostly abandoned other than a few appearances as well as to also just have the fandom hate on him more.

What I say that season 4 does is prove my point that Ladybug treats him worse than a sidekick. Robin is Batman's sidekick and yet whichever version of Robin that Batman has, Batman includes Robin on every plan that he has, always tells him what is going on, as well as never leaving him in the dark unless it is a last resort option. The same can not be said for how Ladybug treats Cat Noir.

Especially regards to Alya. She told Alya her identity when a better option would be the one that is supposed to be her PARTNER!!! And even if the identities thing gets in the way, at least tell your parents and not the girl that runs a blog and as been trying to find your identity since Ladybug first appeared. If anything, since being the guardian made her so stressed, then she should have started to train Cat Noir so that he could be her co-guardian. Meaning that it would lessen her load by a lot.

Plus, even when she told Alya as well as gave her the fox miraculous permanently, she told Cat Noir NONE of that. And for those that think Alya would be a better partner, this is the same girl that went and immediately told Nino about her being Rena Furative.

And making Alya a full-time hero only caused more issues because it made her treat Cat Noir even worse. Such as during Sentibubbler. Marinette and Alya came up with the entire plan, leaving Cat Noir out of the entire time. Again, that brings up how even as Ladybug always says that she and Cat Noir are partners, she is basically lying when she says that.

Add in all of the other heroes that she brings in, sometimes without ever even talking to Cat Noir about doing it, she pushes him over the edge even more. Especially in regards to Hack-San when she gave Alya the ladybug miraculous even when she could have just sent Cat Noir the earrings with Tikki since he has used them before when he was Mister Bug during Refleckdoll. Something she did while giving no warning at all to Cat Noir, which almost cost Alya her life when Cat Noir tried to Cataclysm her when he thought she was either an akuma or sentimonster.

The trailer for Kuro Neko has shown Adrien giving up the black cat miraculous. And if I am being honest, I do not blame him at all. Clearly, he is feeling alone and basically abandoned since Ladybug keeps bringing out other heroes, leaving him out of team meetings, team planning, and so many other things. With this horrible treatment, it's hard to believe that he did not give up the miraculous earlier. If she does not treat him as a partner, then she does not deserve to have him as a partner.

And even with this new black cat hero, Cat Walker, it's hard to believe that it would be the same without Cat Noir. I know there are theories about Adrien just getting the miraculous again or that it was Felix that has it, but I personally am taking a "wait and see" approach to who is going to be Cat Walker.

And for those that will probably call Adrien out and call him either a coward, the real one that abandoned the team, selfish, or any other bad thing, I call you out on not knowing Adrien. Adrien probably suffers from abandonment issues steaming from his mother disappearing as well as how his father neglects him. And those issues would definitely surface again from Ladybug leaving him out the way that she does. So, I think that after having it happen so many times, it was only a matter of time that Adrien would no longer be able to just smile and take it. Him no longer choosing to be a hero comes from feeling abandoned by Ladybug because of her treatment of him.

All I am asking for is a little equality between the two. And if not, then Ladybug should be replaced and not Cat Noir.
