Mae out of boredom found herself at the cafe Natalia worked at sitting with her chin resting on her hand, with her other hand she sluggishly typing on her laptop.
"Here's your tea, sorry we're busy today." Nat said wiping non existent sweat off her forehead.
"Oh no it's fine, I just got tired of sitting in the dorm or library all day all the time."
"Tell me about it, we've both been so busy lately I feel like we've barely talked even though we live together." Nat frowned.
"Right? Well, to be honest this kind of feels like old times. Me escaping the house just to have anywhere else to go." Mae sighed.
Natalia's frown stayed plastered on her face. "It's a shame neither of us got to have normal parents."
"Eh, it is what it is." She shrugged.
"Sure, but you can still admit it sucks." Natalia said as Mae drank her tea not giving much of a response. "Well I gotta go, i'll be back in a minute." Natalia walked off and Mae nodded.

Mae: hey sorry, i know we haven't hung out all that much and this is out of the blue but can i come over? again i'm sorry i know i just totally invited myself over but i just really need to get out of the house and didn't know who else to ask. Mae: if ur busy i understand
Natalia: hey :)) no worries i'm not busy at all lol i don't do much so sure! My moms making me study like a manic though so it might not be very entertaining haha
