Sunday arrived. Naira was all excited as she got ready to go to Kartik's house. He had always kept his business and family separate. He did not even speak about his family much.
But Kartik invited her home. She twirled around in excitement
To him she must be special or she would not have gotten that invite.
Just being with Kartik made each day special
She felt safe and secure with him.. just as she had with her father
She rang the doorbell exactly at 5. She had arrived half an hour early
Kartiks mother answered the door
Hello auntie Naira murmured
Hello Swarna replied with smile
I am here to meet Kartik.. the boss she said
Swarna was little shocked becoz Kartik never invited anyone from office to home. He kept his work at the workplace.
But Swarna was happy to see her. As Naira is so sweet and down to earth

The maid rushed to her and she gave her instructions for dinner
The Goenkas went out. Meera went back into the kitchen to prepare dinner
Kartik took her inside.. The villa was full of luxuries
And all things are beautifully designed. Naira looked around
Like it? Kartik asked her with a hint of anxiety as of her answer mattered to him

How large is your place ? Naira is mesmerised with that place
6 rooms plus one for Meera ma Kartik told her
7 are you serious?
Yes one for me one for my parents and 4 for guests

Hey btw why did you not tell your parents that I was coming?

He tapped her forehead playfully
Use your brains Naira we have planned a surprise party and if I told them that I was bringing my friends they have might figured it out
Which reminds me I have to change Meera's dinner arrangements
Naira pouted
And he smiled
He called out Meera ma
She came running to them and he asked her to not cook
I have ordered from the restaurant
My rotis will be really good she sounded upset
It's not about your rotis Meera ma we have planned a surprise party for mom and dad
Oh that's great I will help
Okay I will call you.. till then u rest
A call for Kartik disturbed them
Yes , Kartik here. Is it ready? Problem with delivery? Hmm.. okay I' lo come
He turned to Naira and apologised her and told that he had to pick cake
You wait here Naira.. I have to go I will just come in 10 minutes
He grabbed his car keys and told her
Naira you better wait in my room upstairs first room to your right
Don't worry Kartik.. I will entertain myself..
You go and come soon naira said
That is my sweetie- he told her
Then she went in his room
As she opened the door of his room she was astonished to see fully furnished neat & tidy and beautifully decorated room. There was a big balcony overlooking the lake nearby.
Woww- she gasped
She explored further and saw a bookshelf as well
She is going through the books as she also fond of books
Just as she is taking out the book
And ole notebook fell out. She picked it up and dusted it
The cover read - kartik
She thought not to open but then strong wind gushed through window and open first page which caught her attention
Saumy ma, I miss you.

She gasped.. what did he mean? Something was wrong
She felt strong urge to know more about so she started reading his diary
She get to know that Saumya aunty was his real ma
Not Swarna aunty
Saumya  Aunty died becoz of some disease but he blamed both manish and Swarna for her ma's death as he was not aware of her disease
And he always fight with them
He missed his mom so much, he craved for mothers and fathers love in his childhood. But just few days back he got to know real reason of her death and he was full of guilt that he blamed his father for it
He accepted them but still he crave for love
Unconditionally love
With that she closed his diary
And Naira had tears in her eyes
She was shocked that the person who makes everyone happy had deep wounds inside him
Naira was so happy and proud of Kartik
She promised herself that she will give all love to him which he craved as she realised that she is in love with Kartik
Kartik give all his support and love to Naira to help to come out from her past
And now it's time for Naira
