"Wow," immediately left her mouth when she walked in the door.
Quietly, and with a straight she entered her office and stiffly sat in a butterfly chair.
"Sooo," I said constantly wiping my sweaty hands on my leggings, "do you like it?"
Still silent and with a straight face she shook her head.
"Reyes, I'm sorry, I don't like it." By the time she says the last few word I'm in the door way, trying not to start crying my organs out.
Then I hear her stand up, I turn around and she's smiling, "I absolutely LOVE it!!! It's totally amazeballs!! How did you know I love paint splatters. This entire thing just screams me!!" She jumps up and down like a kid who just one a life time supply of lollipops and chocolate. "Reyes you are most DEFIANTLY hired! I can't imagine an intern better! Meet me here tomorrow right after school and I will give you your first assignment!!"
I walked out of the office and went home, and for the first time in the past few weeks, I did it feeling relaxed.
