Chapter 5 UA Festival

It was almost a whole year at UA and we were all getting ready for the Festival. I stood in front of Kaori’s door before knocking on it. She opened the door and smiled a little. “Hey Rhys, do you need something?”, she asked. “W-well you see, I w-was going to ask if you wanted to go to the dance with me”, I said nervously. I saw her face turn a really bright red and she hid her face in her hoodie. “I-I’m sorry I just had no one else to ask cause I know Sammy, Diana, or Lia would go with me”, I said while my face turned a little pink. She tackle hugged me. “I WOULD LOVE TO GO WITH YOU”, she yelled while hugging me. I hugged her back and I turned to see Diana standing there with a tooth brush in her mouth. “Could you maybe do this somewhere else, I would like to get to my room”, she said while brushing her teeth. I moved over a little bit and Diana walked by. We kept hugging for a little bit before she let go. “Well, I’m going to go get ready”, she said while moving her hair out of the way. She closed the door and I went to the kitchen. “Hey what was that yelling?”, Sammy asked. “Just asking Kaori out to the dance”, I said. “Wow at first I thought you’d be single your whole life”, Sammy said with a smirk. “I’m not dating her, I’m just taking her as a friend”, I said. She rolled her eyes and ate her food. I grabbed a apple and stood outside. “Hey Rhys, I would like to speak to you”, Deku said while he stood in front of me. “Uhm sure”, I closed the door and sat on the bench with him. “You know that villain you encountered last night, well that was Shigaraki, the leader of the League of Villains”, Deku explained. How did he know about last night, did Lia tell him, was he waiting, I have so many questions. “And I saw you push him with one hit that was amazing, and before you get mad, I wanted to see what happened before I jumped in”, he said. Wait, crap I forgot about Lia. I got up and ran to Lia’s room, and knocked on the door. Lia opened the door and rubbed her eyes. “Rhys, it’s too early to go on walks and talk”, she said while yawning. I hugged her tightly and looked at her one wing. It had a horrible burn mark on it. “Hey Lia, are you ok, last night was rough”, I said. “Yeah, my wing hurts a little bit, but its healing”, she said while backing from the hug. “Well I have to go get ready for this dance cause it’s in like two hours”, I said while walking to my room. I went into my room and started working out for a while and went into the shower. “Hey Rhys, you in here?”, Kaori said while walking into my room. I walked out of the bathroom with a towel around my waist and didn’t notice she was standing at my door. I grabbed pants and put them on and put socks on. Kaori stood there, her face a bright red and her nose started to bleed. “Kaori, your nose is bleeding”, I said while wiping her nose with a tissue. She fell over and fainted. I put her on my bed and put a shirt on. “Rhys, why is Kaori on your bed?”, Diana asked. “She fainted”, I said. Diana made a face and walked away. I sat on my chair and watched a little bit of TV. A hour passed by and I was waiting outside the Gym for Kaori. I saw Diana, Sammy, and Lia covering someone in the middle. I looked at them before they moved the blanket. It was Kaori in a purple dress, her hair was curled and she had red lipstick on. “W-wow you’re beautiful”, I said. “T-thanks, I tried”, she said like holding her arm out. I held her hand and lead her inside as Diana, Sammy, and Lia followed. We danced for a while and I started, feeling something. I was starting to like Kaori more and more. “Hey Kaori, I have a question”, I said. She looked at me with a confused look. “Would you like to be my-“, my sentence was cut out by an explosion near one of the walls. A huge man ran into the building and swung at Kaori. I pushed her out of the way and took the hit. Villains surrounded us and everyone at the dance was fighting. How are villains getting on school grounds? I punched the man away and saw Lia not getting attacked. She changed her outfit to a dark purple stealth suit. “Ok villains, I don’t want a single living body in this gym”, she yelled. I can’t believe it, She’s a villain now, my best friend, is a villain
