Gabriel rifled through his drawers, trying to find a suitable t-shirt for the woman in his living room. Curse her. Why couldn't she ever just make things simple? But more concerningly, now the innocent mask she wore the first time they met had been taken off and he saw the defiant side she had been hiding. She was definitely dangerous.

Which raised the bigger question - why was he still keeping her alive? He had misjudged her as a naïve, innocent girl caught up in something bigger than herself. Now that he knew that wasn't true, he had every reason to get rid of her.

It wasn't for sex...though he couldn't deny the attraction he felt for her, especially after seeing her naked. She had a fantastic body - soft, round breasts he wanted to tease until she moaned with pleasure, a heart-shaped ass he wanted to redden with spanks, curvy thighs he wanted to bury himself between...

He groaned. This wasn't helping. He wasn't lying when he told her that he had any number of women he could call to join him. But he was lying when he said he wasn't distracted. Because from the second she walked out of that room, all he could think about was every way he wanted to take her, how badly he wanted to hear her cry out his name, begging him for more.

Pull yourself together. This girl got away from you once. If you don't stay focused, she'll do it again.

He walked into the living room with an ugly gray t-shirt he had pulled from his dresser. She was gone, which wasn't surprising. Probably trying to see if he was bluffing about her being able to run away.

Fortunately, he was not. This was his island, and they had the place all to themselves. He walked out onto the front porch, finding the woman staring out at the Caribbean Sea that surrounded them. She really was gorgeous. Her long brown hair whipped wildly around her in the wind.

"I told you we were alone," Gabriel told her, walking up behind her. He saw her jump, but she quickly recovered. She turned around to face him.

"Here," Gabriel said, throwing the shirt at her. "Now come back inside."

The woman pulled on the shirt as she re-entered the house. Gabriel turned around and rolled his eyes. He had purposefully picked the least attractive shirt he owned - a goofy monster t-shirt he got for finishing a Halloween marathon - yet she still somehow managed to look like a sex kitten with her tousled hair and doe-eyes.

"Let's talk," he told her, gesturing to the couch.

"Why don't I make us breakfast instead," she suggested.

"Sit down," Gabriel commanded.

The woman walked to the kitchen, ignoring him. "Do you have eggs? I make excellent omelets."

"I said sit down," Gabriel repeated, raising his voice slightly.

She opened the refrigerator. Before she could even look inside, Gabriel slammed the door shut and pinned her up against it. He spun her around, trapping her by putting his hands on either side of her. The vein in her neck pulsated with her rapid heartbeat, allowing Gabriel to see beneath her fearless facade. She was terrified.
