It was Tacha's second night at the Lucas lounge again. This time, she went with Kenny who insisted she wanted her to clear her mind and they could look out for a solution later on.
This time, instead of Tacha's mini jean skirt, her favourite black palazzo did justice to her shape, and just like she would have dressed, she decided on a clean white shirt a little bit bigger than her. While she stood before the mirror and fixed on her head her curly braided wig and a light make up on her face, Kenny admired Tacha's body and how true she stayed to herself despite living with someone like her.
"Hi." Tacha greeted her only friend at the Lucas bar, settling down on the glass stool opposite the bar man. For the second time, she had visited a place she thought she might never step foot again. Still the same as the first time. Hot guys and ladies having the wildest fun of their lives inside the bar. Smooching, kissing, playing games, dancing and all hideous acts one could ever think about. She just lost her job, and she thought Lucas lounge was fit to take her burdens away like her best friend said. But she still doesn't understand why Kenny loved Lucas lounge, and the bar more than her life. She agreed some people can do anything to have the life in the Lucas bar for the kind of fun going on there.
The bar man stared at Tacha. He had seen different faces this night already and he was puzzled by the beautiful light skin lady before him. Tacha smiled at him and suddenly, he knew he had seen that smile before. But where?
Tacha chuckled, but it wasn't reaching her eyes, unable to hide the sadness in those eyes. "I see you are having a hard trying to remember me," she said, dropping her small purse. "Would you try to remember or I should spill the bean?"
The bar man was starstruck by the voice. The voice of the shabby blue hair, sexy goddess who left the bar full of tears after approaching a whole Nathan Brown. The voice was the same. The eyes were the same. The smile was exactly the same. His mouth opened with a smile as he tried to speak."You are the same lady that--"
"Came here yesterday, almost quarrelling with you for a glass of Gordon."
The barman laughed.
And genuinely, Tacha smiled, her sad face realising she was truly happy.
The barman smiled at Tacha. "You look so different today," he said. "I want to agree you decided to be yourself today "
Tacha smiled with her aching heart. "The best way I could convince myself that I'm beautiful anyways."
The barman agreed. "Yes. You are beautiful. Also very gorgeous just in anything you love to wear. I think you look sexier in this."
This time, Tacha found herself laughing genuinely. She agreed the barman was amazing and she liked him already. If she had thought his tattoo and multiple piercing made him look like someone she wouldn't want to associate with, she had to disagree with the idea, because the barman made her realise, people are not sometimes what you think they are just by judging with your eyes. Whatever they grew up with must have shaped them but could never have taken their hearts or forget who they really are.
The barman whispered. "Another Gordon tonight."
Tacha's eyes became huge as she chuckled."Hands down, I don't deserve Gordon. I will give my life to Smirnoff."
The barman laughed at Tacha's cuteness. "We have that too. You chose right this time. When you are more stronger, come back and tackle Gordon and show her who's the boss!"
Tacha chuckled slowly. She nodded with a smile. She was suddenly not feeling the pains she came with anymore. She was relaxed and wouldn't deny the peace she felt in her heart. The peace the barman gave her. "Can I drop my purse with you, want to find the restroom."
