Chapter Twenty four of Ruthless
Can they live like they never met?

Two weeks of freedom, and Tacha who was expected to be happy still had her mind occupied. It had been two weeks she saw Nathan. Two weeks she decided not to go to the Brown's family again. Two weeks her mum had left the house Nathan bought for her. Two weeks she started her life all over again, but Tacha's mind could not just let go of some of the things that became part of her life. The feelings. The urge. The crazy feelings that made her roll on her bed at night with thoughts of Nathan. His smile. His hard face. His arrogant pose. And the magic they had together. She wanted to be in his arms again.

Nathan didn't even bother to call her. He didn't bother to apologise for what his mother did to her, and for what he did to her. Offering her one million naira for what? Was he really trying to compensate her for the sex. No. Tacha didn't want to believe that. When he held her, he held her with care, his eyes unable to leave her for a second. She didn't just see his burning desire to take her, she saw the claim. The claim to hold her in place, have her in his arms over and over again. The way his eyes swept over her body in praises and worship, he wanted her body to be his altar. And the truth was, Tacha wanted him to be the pulpit she could climb on over and over again.

But....

He could have at least said he was sorry.

He could have at least said can we talk.

He could have at least said I know this is over but can you forgive me if I was being rude.

He could have at least said, I hate to see things go this way but I hope you are fine.

But nothing.

Tacha heard nothing.

Tacha saw no one.

It showed he didn't care about her at all.

She was nothing but a nobody.

He must have had his fill and go back to his girlfriend.

The girlfriend issue was a new discovery for Tacha. When Kenny mentioned it, it was then it occured to her that the Lady Nathan slept with that night was his girlfriend. She thought she was one of those ladies willing to be in his bed, but she was wrong. She could still remember the name. Lola. Then why would he sleep with her when he had a girlfriend?

Tacha knew the answer.
