"who is it?" seola asked while rolling around under her covers, and the sound of the door creaked slightly as a small ray of light entered her dark room
sighing, she continued. "is that you jaem? if it is, i said that i wanted to be alone for the time being and— "
two strong arms embraced her from behind and the warmth emitted through their bodies. without turning around, she already knew who it was
"why are you here? i thought you didn't want to see me.." she said in a small voice, her head not moving one bit
"seol, turn around and face me... please?" mark tugged at her waist to turn but she still didn't move. "seola, please?"
after contemplating for a few more seconds, she finally turned but her eyes faced his chest and not at his face
"can you look at me please" mark said softly, his hands cupping her cheek. slowly, her eyes moved up to his mouth and then nose, then his eyes, making eye contact
"..you're not mad at me?" she asked in a small voice and his thumb swiped across her cheek, soothing her
"at you, never" he said with reassurance in his voice
"i was just.. disappointed with.. myself that i couldn't protect you and.. i was a mess so i didn't want you to see me like that.."
a pout formed at his lips and seola brought her hand to scratch the back of his head
"silly boy... i'll always be here to support you no matter what. i know you're worried because of the slander.. yeah, it doesn't sound good but we'll get through it together right?"
mark grasped her hand quickly, thumb swiped across their engagement ring as he brought it to his lips to kiss it
"of course love, through thick and thin, i'll always be there for you" mark gently pinched both cheeks which made her look like a chipmunk
"you look like a chipmunk" a soft chuckle left his lips which resulted in seola squeezing his cheeks as well
"well.. you don't look so bad yourself chipmunk lee" seola teased, placing a kiss on the sides of his cheeks
"guess i earned a new nickname... seagull, mork, markie, sweetie and now chipmunk lee? at this rate seol, you'll be a name generator"
seola laughed, "our children will have amazing names then" which made mark speechless as he stared at her with those big brown eyes
