"Code red in lab 1. I repeat code red. Can I get a darted to lab 1 urgently!"

All 3 doctors stop arguing instantly. Zoey rushes off to the computer screen at the back. I try to sit up I want to know what's going on. Grant grabs hold of his radio to message someone.

"Update now, what is going on?"

A few painstaking second go by before anyone responds

"Subject #9 in distress"

I look over my shoulder; Zoey must be able see something on her screen. She must have access to some cameras here. With this much security around, there must be cameras on us at all times surely.

Its then I see the Lycan on the screen. But he's not smashing the front of his cell; he's smashing the wall between his cell and mine. Why doesn't he attack the front?

"What is he doing?" Zoey shouts at no one in particular.

She then changes the screen over; it's a picture of the whole lab, rather than just his cell. It's hard to watch the screen with it repeated flashing red with the alarm going off; luckily the volume is turned right down. A man appears from the corner of the screen, he takes aim at the Lycan before shooting him. Clive rushes over to the screen and flips the footage back to his cell. But one isn't enough to subdue him. Its then another dart hits him in the shoulder. The Lycan takes a few more steps, before he hits the floor.

Zoey looks relieved. She wipes the non existent sweat on her forehead before looking round to the other two.

"Phew, glad that's over with. Wonder what his problem was?"

My wolf and I look back to the screen, seeing the collapsed state of the Lycan releases some strange emotion inside of me. It's enough to let out a small whimper.

Clive looks round to me, he starts pointing at me. When the other two ignore him he tries talking to them to get their attention

"He's looking for her! We need to get her back down there"

"Don't be ridiculous, they've barely seen each other!" scoffs Zoey

Grant places his head in his hands, shaking it. He looks like he's starting to get stressed. And who wouldn't, having to work with someone like her is enough to send anyone into an early grave.

"No he's probably right. We've had him here for over 6 months and not heard a peep out of him"

"But he can't know she's missing. We put stuff in the ventilation and water to knock their senses out. He shouldn't be able to sense her!"

Ahh that's why I can't smell anything, it's been driving me mad trying to guess why I can't. And I wonder if they put anything in the water or the food they give us that stops me from being able to shift back to my human form.

"We don't really know a lot about them, everything is just guess work until we get it right. Clive take her back, and monitor her every few hours"

Exactly Grant. You guys don't know anything about us; you're just trying to play God with us. And when one of us dies, you just go and get another to replace us. Like a little kid with its toy!
