~Y/n pov~

"What took you so long? I kept waiting." On-jo complained with teary eyes.

"Are you okay?" He turned to look at us all.

We nodded in response.

"This is great and all but we might wanna get out of here before we become zombie snacks." I interrupted their reunion as we had been stood here for a few minutes.

On-jo's dad nodded, "Right. This way."

He lead us through the tennis court.

This is the way to the mountain.

There was a growling noise as a zombie started running towards us.

Mr. Nam charged towards it and threw it over his head.

He twisted its legs and broke it so it couldn't follow us.

"Run." He yelled.

We all ran in the direction of the tennis courts.

Gyeong-su grabbed my hand and pulled me along to make sure I kept up.

More zombies appeared and started to chase us as we ran.

We ran through the hideous green gates of the tennis court and slammed it shit behind us.

We ran towards the exit but zombies were surrounding the whole court and trying to break down the fence.

The door we just entered though make a groaning noise before breaking.

The zombies all flooded in.

We were trapped.

Gyeong-su grip on my hand tightened as he watched the zombies race towards us.

We may not get killed by them.

But I still feel fear as they chase towards us.

Mr Nam pulled his bag off and grabbed something out of it.

He threw the flare.

The zombies raced towards it and the exit was cleared.

We all ran towards the exit and pulled the door open.

Cautiously, we walked through the gate, looking out for zombies.

"Cheong-san. Take On-jo with you." Mr Nam said before running away from us with a whistle and blowing it.

He lit another flare and threw it.

Cheong-san pulled On-jo away as she struggled and screamed.

A zombie jumped at Mr Nam.

And then another one.

I noticed the bite mark on his arm.

Is it already too late?

The zombies started to crowd around him.

"Shut the door!" He yelled.

"No. We can save him..." On-jo sniffled, "Right, Y/n?"

"There are too many zombies. We'll all end up bitten. There's a chance a few of us will turn then. Can we really take that risk?"

It was harsh... but it was true.

For some people, the fear doesn't go away no matter what and they turn anyway.

Mr Nam stood at the gate and smiled sadly, saying his goodbyes to On-jo.

Tears ran down her cheeks as Cheong-san pulled her away.

We turned and ran towards the forest before any zombies could notice us.
