As soon as Idris's number falls out my lips, I feel like taking his own fist and punching myself with it.

How I learned about this part of his past is not something I like to think about, because it's surrounded by so much danger, corruption, sadness, and trauma. The hairs on the back of my neck stand just from the memories.

His black eyes look at mine like they want to rip me to shreds. It was scary. New. He's never gotten this angry before and I've never thought of being the receiving end of his wrath, but here we are.

My forehead stings from basically head-butting him, but my own harsh gaze doesn't waver from his. We're both breathing heavily, the intense nature I just bestowed on us, almost crushing our souls.

"Azariah!!" My father's voice booms the once dead silent room. He sounded a cross between livid and horrified. Yet, I don't look away from Idris who doesn't look away from me.

"133? What does that mean?" Vi's sweet voice asks, almost timidly.

"Idris?" E tries to cut in.

He doesn't acknowledge them, instead asking me his own question. "Have you always been such a hypocrite?" His words cut through me, because I know exactly what he means. How could I question him about his secrets when I have so much of my own?
