Chapter 20

Anne's POV

I woke up in a shock panting I don't know how long it was or when it was all I remembered was getting darted, falling, someone getting shot, and passing out Burt and another newt were beside me Burt saw me freak out "Wooh clam down, clam down you're ok, you're ok" he said rubbing my back "How long was I out" I asked "Two weeks or so" he said "Two weeks is Marcy ok" I asked he looked at me with shocked "Yes she is" he said "Who got shot" I asked Burt looked at me with shock again "A monster hunter don't worry they're ok" he said "Ok" I said "Do you mind me and this monster hunter are going to step out for a minute" he said "No" I said then both of them stepped out I could somewhat hear them because the door wasn't shut all the way "So when are we going to tell her captain" the monster hunter said "Well I can't right now she is still in shock by the dart we'll tell her when it is the time to just not right now" Burt said "Yes captain" the hunter said then they came back in my room "So who were you talking about" I asked "You heard us" Burt asked "Yes I did because the door wasn't closed all the way" I said "Look Anne there is something you don't know a monster hunter didn't get shot it was someone you really care about and I just didn't want to tell you when you woke up because of the worry and shoke you would be in" he said "So who is it" I asked scared Burt looked at me he breathed in then out "The person who got shot was now promise me you won't try to freak out" he said "Ok" I said "The person who got shot was....Marcy" he said I was trying not to freak out but I couldn't hold it in so I started crying Burt comforted me rubbing my back I looked up after awhile "Is she ok" I asked "We think she is still alive" he said "That's good I want to see her" I said "You do" he asked "Yes" I said "Ok but you haven't walked in two weeks you might get hurt I will help you" he said "Thanks" I said "Yeah don't metion it" he said I got the covers off of myself and stepped on the floor I fell thankfully Burt came over and helped me up and helped me to the guest room after awhile I got used to walking and Burt stopped helping I was limping but I was ok I opened the guest rooms door and saw Marcy on the bed I walked over and sat on the bed I didn't like seeing this and I started crying Burt followed me into the room and rubbed my back again I was still crying then I touched her face it felt cold then I touched my face because I just woke up my face was warm why was my face warm and Marcy's face cold that's werid "Captain Marcy's face is cold" I said "Let me feel" he said he touched her face "Yeah it is cold is your face warm" he asked "Yes" I said then he feeled my face "That's werid and she looks a little pale" he said "You're right she does look pale" I said "I think Andrias shot her with a special bullet can you take a look" he said "I guess so" I said I wipped my tears and stiffed I asked Burt to step out and close the door I removed her shirt and saw where Andrias shot her it was red and it look it it hurt I touched it she twiched I got Burt in the room again "It looks like a bullet that can hurt a Marsafur I'll see what it is called I forgot the name" he said "Ok" I said he exited the room I stayed with Marcy she was breathing slow I was getting worried Burt was gone for a long time he made it back with a book "Anne I'm back and I think I have a lead" he said "Ok good her breathing is getting slower" I said "it is did you check her heart beat" he said then he opened the book "Yes it is and I will check her heart beat" I said I checked her heart beat it was slow like her breathing and it seemed like it was getting slower like her breathing "Anthing" Burt asked "It is slow like her breathing and it seems like it getting slower like her breathing" I said "That's not good anyway it says here on page 517 that there is a bullet called the Marsafur void when it shots the victem the bullet stays in the victem and slowly kills the victem it starts with their breathing getting slow, then their heart beat, then changing back and forth with the Marsafur, and then you know but you can prevent the death you need to get the bullet out carefully" he said "Ok let's do it" I said "Wait if you do it it could cause the victem serious danger" he said "Ok we'll just be careful" I said "Ok I'll get the things" he said he left for a minute then came back with gloves, masks, and tweezers he put a pare of gloves on I walked over I put a pare of gloves on "Ok captain what does the book say" I asked putting a mask on "Well it says the bullet is located deep inside the skin and needs to be removed with a careful hand with tweezers do you have a careful hand" he asked putting a mask on "I guess I'm scared so I guess" I said "Great I don't have a careful hand have you done anything like this" he asked "Well I used to work at Plantar Farm and I had to cut up some vegetables for my adopted frog family so I guess" I said "Ok let's do this" he said "Yeah" I said we started right away I was shaking but got over it I carefully got it out and put it on a tray I quickly wipped up the blood and snitched it up Burt took the bullet into his study and studied it I stayed with Marcy for a few days I didn't want to leave her side so I just had to wait for Burt coming in with the full results.
