The Bet

Chapter 13

*Angello's POV*

Alicia and I walk down to the bomb fire together, holding hands. Her hands are soft.

As we walk I see someone taking pictures. I tug on Alicia gently and we go to the man. I have him take a picture of us on my phone. I kiss Alicia's cheek and hold her hand over her shoulder as Alicia blushes and smiles.

The man takes the picture and I go to see it. I smile and show Alicia. Alicia smiles and thanks the man. I thank him also and give him $5. We then start to walk to the bomb fire again.

I look at her and smile to myself. She's beautiful... I'm lucky to have her...

As we walk, my mind starts to drift about my conversation with Cole.

**Flashback**

My phone rings as I'm about to get my things out for my shower, after Alicia is done.

I answer without looking at caller ID.

"Hello," I say.

"Hey man, I gotta talk to you about the bet," Cole says.

I freeze up when he brings it up. I completely forgot about the bet, I was so caught up with Alicia.

"Uh, what about it..." I ask.

"I want to know who's winning, I mean I haven't had guy night yet with you or Jordan." He says.

"No one's winning yet... Why do you want to know." I ask.

"Because I still have the money and I want to see if Alicia actually has a heart for guys." Cole explains.

"Man that's fucked up." I tell him.

"Fine. Why don't you take the money and tell her that she lost?" Cole ask.

"Danm it, no I'm not doing that." I tell him.

"Man she'll be ok with it." He says.

I sigh and say, "No, I need more money, I'm gonna do something with it."

"How much more? I'm not giving you a bunch of money." Cole says

"Oh come on, can't you raise it please?" I beg.

"Maybe. You gonna tell her she lost? Plus what are you gonna do with the money if I give you more?" Cole states.

"I told you already I'm not going to do that." I tell him, avoiding his second question.

"Why not, come on it sounds like you actually have actual feelings for her." He says.

"Man, we'll talking about this later." I hang up and sigh.

*End of Flashback*

I snap out of my thoughts when we get to our group. Maxi and Destiny come to hug me and Alicia, then Cole and Jordan do the same.

"Glad yall can make it," Destiny says cheerfully.

"Thanks," Alicia says and I smile with a nod.

"So, yall wanna chill here for a couple and watch the sun set? Probably play some games? Other stuff that we come up with?" Cole questions.

"Uh yeah, sounds good to me." We all say.

We all sit around the bomb fire and I have Alicia in my lap. She cuddles into me and I kiss her cheek.

"Well the sun doesn't go down yet for an hour. What do you guys wanna talk about?" Maxi ask.

"Let's talk about Alicia and Angello's relationship," Destiny tease and wiggles her eyebrows at us.

Everyone looks at Alicia and I.

"Uh, why us?" Alicia says nervously.

"Well I heard from a birdy that you and him have hooked up two days after we got here. Yall should've told Destiny and I!" Max says.

Do they not know that it's a bet...? That Jordan and part of Cole set up...?

I think back to on the plane when we were coming here. When I asked to which spots with one of them, but they didn't want to. Destiny and Maxi, both had their headphones in. Shit.

I sigh heavily and look at Alicia, to see her walking away with Destiny and Maxi.

Danm it, please don't leave me here with Cole and Jordan. I know their going to ask me about the bet again. If Alicia finds out that were talking about it, she's going to be pissed and upset at me.

It's not even on my mind until Cole called about it. I'm pretty sure Cole told Jordan. If Jordan didn't start the bet and Cole add on, I wouldn't be thinking about this shit at all. Honestly...

But the bet is what got me to know Alicia. To see other sides that she doesn't show and to hear things not everyone knows about.

We were enemy's, but now boyfriend and girlfriend.... But, I don't think that's going to last long with she finds out....

I snap out of my thoughts when Cole and Jordan pat my shoulder and hand me a beer. I gulp and look at them as they stand in front of me.

"So..." Jordan starts.
