Maya's POV

After dinner we headed over to sleep since the three of us were quite exhausted.

Carina tho had been paged 911 in the middle of the night. Not waking me up completely but did make me shift a bit.

Seems like on her way out she had seen Emma widely awake. Just staring at the ceiling. Said she didn't walk in since she didn't know how she could have reacted to it

As both of us woke up, we had a shake and drove quickly over to the station since we were running a bit late.

"Team up!" I said as we were all in the kitchen "so. As you know, it's gonna be a slow day here except for when you're free" I said and they all looked at me confused

"Oh no" said Vic "training?" She asked and I shook my head

"Drills?" Asked Travis and I shook my head once again

"No" said Andy "just no" she said knowing what I was talking about "this can't be mandatory"

"I'm sorry. I agree on that. But is is" I said "dr. Lewis is coming over. PD requirement"

Everyone sighted hating the fact that one by one they'd be called in to talk to this woman

"What if there's like a 5 alarm?" Asked Vic

"Vic you're not setting up a fire to escape this woman" laughed Travis making all of us chuckle

"Only 3,4,5 alarms can save us today" I said as I sipped my coffee

"God I hate PD" said Jack as he walked upstairs to the engines

Emma's POV
The fuck. Why did I have to sit down and talk to a woman about a job I had been at only for a week and a half.

"Maya come on" I said as I walked over to the hose room

"Mandatory" she said as she continued her way

"I've just began working here!" I said

"Mandatory Emma" she said as her last word and jogged upstairs to her office.

"Why do you make me do this" I said to myself knowing she had listened to me

Great. Now I had to deal with a therapist woman who I've got no idea who she is and neither does she

"Hello there" said Vic as she walked in

"Hey" I said as I finished checking the hoses

"I'm not a fan of therapy either" she said and I nodded "but, with some years, I've had to learn to admit that time to time, it does give results"

"I don't know how to do therapy. Nor want to" I said as I picked up the broken hose to go fix it

"There's only one way of actually learning how to" she said "by doing it"

"You're inspiring" I said playfully and she playfully hit my arm

"I mean it. I want to be here for you" she said "want it or not. Being here means you're part of the family. And I take care of my family okay?"

Maya's POV

Beautiful, she was mad at me.

"Hey there" I said as I picked up my phone to listen to my gorgeous wife's voice and seeing her smile
