haeun pov

days with eric was no longer spent in our apartment but instead everyday we went to the cafe, where it would be my soon to be job, hyunjun and i's relationship was a turn for the better there was no benefit in me crying over my mistakes when it was best to accept the disasters and move on, and from the looks of it he changed his attitude and the truth behind his actions made me pity him but not too much since it hurt too much of my life to forget.

from the sudden change of life, today was another day of heading to the cafe where the two would teach me how to make my fav beverage : iced vanilla matcha latte with cold foam, after all getting money was an issue to pay for rent and school. "morning!" hyunjun brightly greeted us at the door right before opening time as he would hand over to me and eric for the morning, it was time i'd get settled in and adjust to the worklife as a part-timer. with that mindset i helped arranged the tables, clean the mess that the two guys always make and play my krnb playlist for customers to enjoy.

sunwoo and i had plenty of time to relax before this semester started and had the idea of spending as much time together as possible before school would intervene. as we had basically raided all the previous cafés in our city we decided to go on a little detour to a nearby city and visit some cute cafes for our perfect date. i first saw this place on my feed, the interior was neutral toned with wooden furniture ; the perfect vibe for anyone.

life with sunwoo as my boyfriend was euphoria for me, almost like fate had connected us two, i wouldn't trade anyone else for this relationship, i truly do love hanging out with him just to get a cup of coffee with a side of admiring each other, but just as i admired him more, we got off the car and walked into this new place

a small ring alarmed the staff, "welcome!" a girl said so kindly smiling at us softly, sunwoo reserved a table as i ordered drinks "anything you'd like to order?" she asked pointing at the menu, "what would you recommend?" i asked curiously obviously my first time coming here, "you HAVE to try this iced vanilla matcha,, it's so good here" she said so enthusiastically convincing me to buy it, "okay i'll try that then can i get two please?" i ordered, "sure just pay here" her bright attitude certainly made my day for sure.

she went off to do her work brewing up the beverages, suddenly i heard a familiar name, "ya eric can you help me here?" the girl shouted slightly at the back. eric..? as in the eric sohn? my friend.. surely i'm just hearing things, i haven't seen eric in a while theres no way he moved an hour away from our city, i brushed away the thoughts and went to sit with sunwoo waiting for our order to be called.

"this place is pretty nice isnt it?" sunwoo mentioned looking around at the interior it was sure appealing and pretty, my eyes drawn back onto the counter where the staff were, the girl and boy from eariler laughing and enjoying each others company, that laugh seems awfully wellknown to me...

"order 12!" the girl called out to the cafe, "oh thats our's i'll grab that" i said to sunwoo who was still amazed by the interior, walking up to the counter as she greeted me again, "enjoy! i added extra matcha for you" she winked at me, how sweet a person can be i awed,, "haeun you can't be using all the matcha in this cafe oh myy" yet that familiar voice once again was heard, "eric it's fine i'll pay you back with ramen" the girl i presume haeun answered back heading to the storage unit.

ramen? eric? no way that's him.. "eric?" i called aloud unconsciously getting a better glance of the guy as he faced me.

eric pov

"eric?" that voice, it's her. y/n. i faced to see the girl at the counter holding two drinks, "y/n?" i replied, "oh so it is you!" she laughed slightly however i was not as keen to see her, the whole point of me moving was to avoid her. why does she keep coming wherever i am, it just hurts more to move on.

"enjoy your dri-" i bluntly said honestly my mood for the day was just ruined, i didn't have the motivation to engage in such a conversation but was cut off anyways by another familiar face. "what's taking so long y/n?" we all froze facing each other, "eric??" sunwoo said surprised by my appearance, great how did we end up here.

haeun pov

the cafe had gone strangely quite, almost too quiet whilst i was grabbing some snacks in the back of the staff area, usually eric would be screaming at my side as the caffeine eased in. i decided to check for myself what had happened hopefully he didn't scare any customers away.

i walked into the main cafe lounge, only to see three people standing in a triangle staring at each other. "what's going on.." my words trailed off panning around to see this odd situation, eric standing blankly looking at the ground, the girl from earlier and then sunwoo. wait- "SUNWOO?!" i shouted loudly in shock almost dropping my jaw in the midst of it all, "HAEUN?!" he said in return with the same shock.
