It had been another day of work, luckily Marinette only had to meet with a client today so she could leave the studio afterwards and head home and just work on some designs.

Her apartment had been lonely for just over two weeks, as Felix was away for business in New York. He was supposed to be home in a day's time.

But that didn't mean Marinette didn't miss her boyfriend any less. Unlocking the door to her apartment she looked around. Empty as it had been for the past couple weeks.

The place was quite spacious. She was a fashion designer and Felix took care of the business side of things. The two were partners and worked really well together.

Shrugging off her coat she placed it down on the side of the couch along with her bag as she walked into the kitchen.

Opening the fridge she looked for some of yesterday's leftover pasta. "Can you pass the milk?" a deep voice said behind her, Marinette grabbed the carton and handed it to the person.

As she gave it to them she felt another hand touch hers... her blood ran cold no one else had access to the apartment except Alya and her mother.

Her mother had been visiting her uncle in China and Alya would have called. Felix wouldn't be back for another day so who?

She slowly turned around unsurely Felix had told her to double she locked the doors properly while he was away.

But she had messed up with only a day till he came home. Slowly turning around she came face to face with none other than...

Felix, he was sitting there pouring himself a glass of milk. At first she didn't believe what her eyes portrayed but after taking another look he was in fact real.

She was shocked to say the least, "your home" she said barely a whisper after staring at him for nearly a minute.

He looked at her as she spoke with a small smile playing on his lips. "Yes I am" he replied, without a second thought Marinette hugged him tight.

Felix hugged her back, and gently placed a kiss in her hair. He had missed the smell of her strawberry and vanilla shampoo.

Along with her smile, the two stood there for a while and it was like time stopped as they stood there in each other's arms.

Once they pulled away, Marinette looked at him, "how are you home a day early?" she asked, watching him intently.

"I was supposed to have a meeting tomorrow but the client is unwell and won't be able to come so, I was able to catch the first flight home and surprise you, well I was planning to" he said.

Marinette smiled before going up on her tippy toes and pecking him on the lips, "well it was still a surprise even if it nearly gave me a heart attack." she said with a giggle.

Felix smiled he was glad to be back early and spend the day cuddling up on the couch watching movies with his beloved girlfriend.
