"Are you two homeless?"
Big brother became stiff as a statue. I perked around him to the man. I nodded.
"We have extra room." The man said. "We could give you a home-"
"No." Trey interrupted, coldy.
"Please, brother!" I whined. I was tired. Was this better than living with father?
"No." He repeated.
I lowered my voice so that only he could hear. "I'm tired of running! If you won't come, then I'm going alone!"
Trey looked shocked before narrowing his eyes. "Fine." He snapped, storming into the bus. I followed, but at a calmer rate.
