Percy's P.O.V

Pain. All I felt was pain. A blinding pain that shot through my veins, making me dizzy. It came from my stomach. I immediately knew that it was poison. Darkness enveloped me and I couldn't see anything. I knew how Zoë must've felt the day she died. I felt a cold slab beneath me and could tell that my arms and legs were bound. I couldn't see, but I could hear. I heard deep voices.

"Well done. I have sent many monsters and even a god, but they have all failed me. You on other hand, have impressed me." A deep, terrifying voice said. I could tell that it was the one who had tormented me for months. Tartaraus.

"Thank you, master." The other person said. I identified him as Tyler. The one that had poisoned me.

"As promised, you will be rewarded richly." Tartaraus said. "What is it that you want most?"

"To be Kronos' new body." He said.

"Then it is yours. Go to the river Styx and bathe in it. If you survive, you will become Kronos' host."

"Thank you." Tyler said and scurried away.

"Little demigod, I know you can hear me." He said menacingly.

"For months you have been escaping by clutches. But now I've got you. I foresaw that that gullible child of Eris was going to bring you to me. I knew all he wanted was to be Kronos' new host, so I persuaded him to get you. I also knew that he wouldn't be able to survive taking a dip in the Styx. Not like you." He tutted a bit, walking around me.

"You Perseus, are a mystery to me. You're brave, you're loyal, you're strong, but you're broken. I guess Luke hurt you more than I ever could. He broke you." He laughed.

"That's one thing I couldn't do. I tortured you for months on end, but you still stayed strong . Luke supposedly came back for a week and you were destroyed." He says with a laugh.

"Quite impressive actually. Now, where was I?" He asked and slammed a jagged knife into my shoulder. I scream in pain and my whole body burned. I soon lost consciousness, Tartaraus' cruel laughter ringing in my ears.
