What if Subaru was the reincarnation of Sonic and Shadow? If he was he would have Sonic's speed and Shadow's abilities. He wouldn't die so easily and he would be a lot smarter as well to where he can make his own gadgets.
Here's how it would start, Subaru's father found a green gemstone on an expedition, not knowing it's a chaos emerald. He decides to give it to his wife as a gift. When Subaru is born, both of his parents noticed that Subaru would be attached to the green gemstone, whenever they would remove the gemstone from him, he would start crying. So they decided to let him keep it. Later on when Subaru is around 14, the green gemstone he always kept with him reacted with it glowing very brightly, this in turn gave Subaru the memories of his past life as sonic and his past life as shadow. So Subaru would have to work on his chaos abilities and super speed. Probably join G.U.N. when he's older(I'll probably make him join when he's currently 14, depending on how I do things) during his time as G.U.N. agent he would find the other 6 emeralds and would know what they are after doing some research. Later on when he's 17 he gets summoned along with the 7 emeralds while being on a mission. He wakes up in Lugunica with his green and the other 6, he will also have some weapons and gadgets as well as a emerald radar just in case the emeralds end up scattering
