you catch her staring at you

Sullyoon brushed her fingertips across your skin beneath her sweater that you were wearing.

On the sofa, your head is resting on her lap while the movie plays in the background.

It's the third one you've watched together this evening.

With an evening off, you and Sullyoon wanted to spend some much-needed time together, and this seemed like the perfect way to spend it.

You began to get sleepy during the last film and Sullyoon noticed.

She was understanding of you being so exhausted.

You've had some hard and busy days lately, too.

If sleep was what you needed, she was okay with you getting it, as long as she got to hold you while you slept.

She's been watching the movie on her own for the last little while but she's getting bored of it.

So, instead, she found herself gazing down at you.

Her brown eyes sparkled as she watched you breathe.

She watched your chest rise and fall with every breath that you took in and every one that you let out.

Your fingers were spread out across the cushion and she gently took them into her own, intertwining them with her other hand; the one that wasn't beneath your sweater, softly caressing your skin.

When you'd let out a soft sound, she'd find herself smiling from ear to ear.

Her eyes would get a little brighter while her heart would skip a beat.

She couldn't explain why.

She was just so in love with you.

She pulled her hand from beneath the sweater and gently placed it on your cheek so she could brush her thumb across your kissable skin in circles.

The movie was coming to an end and she didn't even notice.

She couldn't focus on anything but you.

She couldn't take her eyes off of you. You just took her breath away, even as you sleep.

"I love you." She whispered as she continued to hold your hand and stroke your cheek, feeling her heart swell in her chest when she thought you were smiling in your sleep.

But you weren't.

You were waking up but trying not to make it obvious as moments like these with Sullyoon always make you happiest.

She leaned in to kiss your forehead and, unable to resist, you tilted your head so her lips would hit yours instead.

She was taken by surprise but she chuckled against your lips and gently placed her other hand on your other cheek as she kissed you lovingly.

"I can feel you staring at me." You said as you pulled away from the kiss.

Her cheeks turned red before she let out a precious giggle.

You opened your eyes only to close them again a moment later and she pecked your lips.

"I thought you were sleeping."

"I was... but then I wasn't. When I woke up, I felt your eyes on me."

"Sorry." She chuckled as she began to play with your hair.

"I like it." You spoke softly and opened your eyes again, immediately staring into her brown ones, which were full of stars. "You make me feel beautiful."

She shook her head as a smile tugged at her lips.

"You are beautiful, sweet girl; so, so beautiful."

You smiled at her and pulled her in for another kiss, causing her to sigh against your lips as hers moved in perfect sync with yours.

"I love you too." You whispered and she grinned as she realized you'd heard the three words fall from her lips earlier when she thought you'd fallen fast asleep. "So much."

"I love you even more." She said and kissed you again as her heart began to beat a little faster, full of happiness and love.
