On the other part of the island, central specifically, Jake was out running an errand for the neighbouring aunties. Once a week, he would ask in the chatroom consisting of him and the residences living in the small four storey building whether he could help them buy anything. Most of the elderlies live alone or with their also elderly partner so going to the city to buy stuff for the house had proven to be tough. Unlike Taipei which has an advanced delivery services, the people of Green Island relied on self-transport and like in this case, on the younger's kindness.

Jake was kind, so the people there liked him. And he's a flirt too, not leaving even the grannies out of his playful charm, so that's a bonus. His hands were full but he still whistled happily, thinking about the free food he's getting for his deeds. He had bought almost everything on the list, except for some supplements not available in the local pharmacy that he planned to order online.

He reached his bike- an old Honda scooter he got after his father died, wondering how he would fit all the things on the small hook. But he would get it done, like he did every week before. He just needed some time and some manoeuvring around the hefty groceries.

While putting some of the smaller stuff in his backpack, he heard a grunt. He turned to look at the restaurant selling fish dumplings and noticed a familiar person sitting at one of the table outside. It was hard not to.

The man was wearing a colourful floral shirt, tucked into a suave beige pants, looking out of place and out of mind from the look of it.

"Why... izz ma fault?!" the man shouted before gulping a plastic cup of yellow liquid. He then noticed the glasses of empty beer on the table.

Jake tilted his head, watching in horror. Did this man just get drunk in the middle of the day in a restaurant where elderlies would frequent?

A couple of the old men there shook their heads in disappointment, towards the younger generation and probably towards the waste of good look.

Jake decided to let him be and resumed stacking plastic bags on his scooter when across the road, he noticed two patrol officers making rounds. He sucked his teeth, thinking that a lawyer might get in trouble for getting drunk in broad daylight and decided to get the man out of there.

As expected from a drunk person, Chris was out of it. Jake easily took the wallet in his pocket to pay for the beers and that's when he found out the guy's name.

Chris Wu, he read from an old student card inside the wallet before he helped him up.

"Oi," he slapped the man's cheek trying to sober him up before taking out the water bottles from the many plastic bags to feed the guy. "Where do you live? How did you get here?" He asked only to get a drunken response.

"I... like him... becauzzehh he's hot! No list!" the man then mimicked a sizzling sound. Jake grimaced as the beer odour escaped the guy's lips.

He must be dumped, Jake thought. He didn't know how that feels, he never got rejected before. The key was to never admit your feeling first. Jake shrugged. He watched at all the bags and the extra 180 cm baggage he had in hand and slapped the man who was starting to fall asleep on his shoulder.

"Do you have a car?" The question made the man sprung up, nodding and smiling. No, he wasn't smiling- it was more of a smirk, Jake noticed. The man then reached inside his pocket and took out a key, pressing it and there it was, a car just beside him, beeping open.

Jake almost dropped the man when he turned, in awe of his own luck. No balancing heavy groceries on his scooter's handle it looked like!

After securing the now sleeping drunk man inside the strikingly out of place blackish green Ferrari that he surprisingly didn't notice before, he loaded all the groceries inside the car with much difficulty. He would open the trunk if he knows how- he tried. He was panting at the end of it, cursing the luck he thought had befallen him earlier. But at least he didn't have to bare the blaring sunlight.

With another set of trial and error, he managed to start the car and move. When Jake had finished running his errands and getting pats from the ladies, promising them he'd be back for dinner, he got inside the car to see Chris still sleeping.

He shook the man, asking where the man lives to no answer. He wondered if the hospital was a better place to leave the man or just leave him parked where his scooter was at. He needs to get his scooter back any way.

He shivered at his own evil thoughts.

No- he shook his head, tapping on the leather wrapped steering and luckily remembered his friend. Yu seemed to know this guy, maybe Yu know where he lives?

No luck again- Yu wasn't answering. He's sure the man was sprawling on the bed eating a whole bunch of sweets right now, or sitting on a bench somewhere and still eating a whole bunch of sweets, not knowing the disaster his best friend had caused at Sam's house just now.
