"Well? What does it say?" Ms. Kim asks.

Doctor Han sighs deeply as he puts the paper down on his desk. By the looks of it, good news was not going to come out of his mouth.

"The test came out positive." He says.

Ximena grips Ms. Kim's hand tightly.

"I knew it. I've been suspecting it for a while now." Ms. Kim wipes her tears away.

"Doctor? My son and daughter can not absolutely know about this!"

"But Ms. Kim. They're your kids! They have the right to know what's going on." He says.

"My kids have many problems of their own. I don't want to be a burden to them anymore. I don't want them having problems after problems! I don't know when the Alzheimer's will start it's effect, but when it does, I want to leave properly without them getting suspicious."

"So you're going to leave me with the burden?" Ximena asks.

"She is right. More than ever you'll need the support of your family." He says.

"I know what I'm doing. If the effects get worse, my daughter-in-law has my permission to tell everything to my kids." She says.

"I will not go against your wishes, but I do highly recommend you listen to others." He says.

"I'll ask Xiumin to move the wedding date early before you start losing your memories." Ximena says.

"You don't have to worry about a thing my dear. I'll be able to make it by then." Ms. Kim says.

"What can advise you is that, you can tell her to write letters about your kids, your happiest memories, your age, hobbies, your name, favorite food, music, etc. That way, she won't completely forget everything she knows right now." Doctor Han says.

"Of course I can do that." Ms. Kim says.

Ximena and the doctor sigh deeply.

~Later that evening~

Ms. Kim told everything to Ximena and to write down. That way, she can read it to herself everyday before she loses her memories. Ximena even learned new things about Minseok. His birthday is in March, he likes to cook, is a clean freak, used be a prankster, loves hugs, and he's afraid to be abandon by someone he loves dearly in his heart.

That night, Ximena went to bed and tucked herself in. After what has been happening, she remembers all the fun times she had with her mother. She starts crying loudly. She sat on the bed as she wipes he tears away.

Ximena really misses her mother. Even though she has done many projects in other countries that required her to be out of the country for several months, this time, it felt different. It felt like the longest time without seeing her. She misses her warm hugs.

Whenever Ximena was a child and she would start crying in the middle of the night, her mother would always come in and sing her a lullaby until she fell asleep. Has the time really gone by?

~1 week later: 1 day before the civil wedding~

Ximena was in her room writing down letters for Ms. Kim to read when the Alzheimer's would start kicking in. That's when caught glimpse of the tv.
