Techno just stood there, his heart dropped, a single tear streamed down his face the rest of the tears followed suit. He felt himself slip into a void,
His bright colorful world became black and white, the colour drained as soon as he heard the doctor
"no...please....no.....it can't be.." he choked out between sobs,
The doctor just looked down and softly whispered "we did our best, but we couldn't save her"
Techno's legs buckled and he fell to the ground, his breathing became heavy
"can....... I.... see ...her?"
"are you sure?, many people can't bear to see their loved one in such a state"
Techno said nothing, more tears fell down his cheeks he looked at the doctor,
His bright eyes were now dull,
The doctor moved to help techno stand up,
He had no strength left in his legs,
He opened the cold doors of the ICU,
the floor seemed to be getting closer,
He struggled to make his way to the bed in the middle of the room
The nurses stood on the opposite side of the bed, they were looking at him with pity
Techno looked at her, his eyes became glossy,
his sight became blurry
She was surrounded by machines, they were of no use now, she was gone
Techno just stared at her, her smiling face slowly fading and turning pale, cold and lifeless, her bright eyes were curtained forever behind her eyelids.
He used all the strength he had left over to bring his hand towards her, his hand caressing her face
He had nothing left now
He gradually lifted his gaze and looked towards the three ladies in front of him, his eyes stayed on a bundle in the third nurse's hands
She noticed his gaze and slowly made her from around the bed towards him,
She offered the bundle to him, he hesitated before bringing his hands out and holding onto the baby
The baby peacefully sleeping smiled when held by techno,
Techno looked back to the woman laying lifelessly on the bed,
His lips quivered, he took a deep breath to stop more tears from falling
"Your son ....he's beautiful..... just.. like you...sis"
(3 years later)
"Mumm"
"Mummm"
"Are we there yettt?"
"I'm trying to drive, you guys are distracting me" Techno sighed at the kids antics as he looked at them from the rear view mirror. His eyes forming moon crescents as he smiled at the two.
He pulled up to a double story white building, the large tinted glass wall which allowed outsiders to look inside, it stood out from all the dark coloured buildings surrounding it
He opened the car door to let the two hyperactive monsters out,
"Yaaayy"
"Freedomm"
"Be careful or you'll fall and hurt yourselves"
He shut the door and made his way towards the building, 'Nouveau Départ' glowing in gold over the glass gates
He walk through the gates and is engulfed in warmth, the light music playing the background, the chatter, the laughter.
His mind wandered towards his sister
His lips formed in a smile, a sad smile
He walks towards the stairs next to the counter, greeting the two workers before making his way up.
"P'no!"
A small body jumped at him, snaking their hands around his waist, He was enveloped in a hug.
"Albino monkey, let go.. Tin is glaring daggers my way" Techno says as he struggles to get can's hands off of himself
"I haven't seen you in a while, just a bit longer" can whines and gives his puppy eyes and techno just heaves a sigh and eventually gives in to the younger's wishes.
"It's unfair, Tin came here and bought blue along with him without me" can whines when they are finally sitting around the table, it's right next to the glass wall, with full view of the city at night, the bustling streets, the lights, and the Eiffel tower in all its glory lit up at night complementing the evening sky
"I asked if you wanted to come to a business trip with me and you denied" tin reasoned while trying to coax his lover a plate of steak that a waiter had just put in front of tin,
"I didn't now you'd come to Paris to meet P'no" can pouted as he crossed his arms
A soft smile formed on tin's face as he hugged his little lover "I'm sorry, it won't happen again Na" He cut the steak up and moved the fork towards can who ate it as soon as it came near him
"Fine, I'll forgive you just this once"
