I didn't feel to go to school for the rest of the week so I asked to stay home and that's all I did.

I'd go on Facebook and Twitter and see people tweet or make a post about me asking where I was at, if I had killed myself, if I'd gone missing . I sighed and thought about what to do today. I had nothing really to do until an idea popped in my mind.. If I got a pregnancy test from the store down the street. Who knows maybe I could be. It wouldn't be soo bad to be a mother, right?

I slipped on my sandals and grabbed my purse and headed out.

Once I got to the store, I saw so many pregnancy tests and this was my first time buying one so I really didn't know which ones were the reliable ones or the unreliable ones. I was having a bit of a struggle to choose and standing there for soo long, a worker came up to me and asked if I needed any help. I was kinda embarrassed as it was a boy that looked just a little older than I was and was extremely handsome.

"I uhh.."-I stopped and just looked at him

"You want to know if you have a baby on the way?"-He smiled at me then picked up 2 tests off the shelf

"Yeah"-I nodded

"Here, these are probably the only 2 reliable tests so you can use them & how old are you may I ask?"-The man smiled

"Okay & 16"-I said shyly

"16? Got damn man, if only you were a few years older"-The man shook his head

"How old are you?"-I asked

"18. But damn, you look older than you are"-The man said

"I get that alot haha & Thank you I guess"-I said taking the tests and going to the register

Once I was about to leave, the same man approached me.

"Yes?"-I asked

"My name is Devon by the way. It was nice meeting you ..."-Devon said

"Yn"-I filled in his sentence

"Yn. What a pretty name"-Devon smiled

"Thank you"-I nodded about to leave when he stopped me again

" Sorry for harassing you but may I have your number? I find you interesting and I really wanna get to know you though you are 2 years younger than me"-Devon rubbed the back of his neck

"Yeah sure, why not? We could become great friends"-I smiled and wrote my number on the back of his hand

"Thank you, Yn. I'll speak to you later"-Devon smiled

"Sure will. See you later"-I waved and left the store

Something about that man was just so intriguing. I wonder why he asked for my number anyways hmmm. When I got home, I made sure to read the instructions well before using the tests. It said to pee in a cup and leave the test for maximum 20 minutes so thats what I did.

The 20 minutes seemed like 2 hours. I honestly didn't know what to really expect. I could just imagine myself with a son and being a single mother, doing everything for him, making sure that he gets everything he wants and us being in a stable home and-

My thoughts got cut short as the timer and rang. I rushed over to the tests and picked them up. I took a deep breath before looking at the first one

Negative.

I sighed and went on to the next one

Positive.

Wait what? What one was I supposed to believe? Am I pregnant or not? This is all overwhelming. I rushed into my mom's room even through she was sleeping and woke her up. This was important.

"What now, girl?!"-My mum asked

"Mom, look I took 2 pregnancy tests and one says negative and the other says positive. I don't know what to do mom"-I sighed

"We need to know so that you can tell that boy if you are or not. "-My mom yawned

"So we are gonna go to the doctors?"-I asked

"Yes. We have to"-Mom said

"Fine"-I huffed

"Don't huff and puff, girl. We gotta know if you are pregnant or not"-Mom got up

"Mom... Say if I was.. Would you be mad at me or would you still treat me like your daughter?"-I asked

"Well at first I would be mad at you but that doesn't mean that I will hate you. I love you too much for that to happen baby but you should have been more wise and aware"-My mom said

"Thank you mom"-I gave her a huge hug and pulled away

"Where's Mark? I haven't seen him in a good minute"-I asked

"That bastard. I left his ass. I caught his ass cheating with some hoe"-Mom rolled her eyes

"I knew that he wasn't good. Aww, don't worry mom, you'll find someone else"-I rubbed her back

"It's alright hunny"-Mom sighed

"So what now?"-I asked

"I'mm go and get ready so go and see if your brother has woken up from his nap"-Mom said

"Alright"-I nodded and went to my baby brother's room to see if he had woke up yet but he was still sleeping

I looked at him whilst he slept, once again images of me being a mother popped into my head of me being a single mother with me son yet stable enough for the both of us in a nice big house. Wow

My mom soon came into the room and lifted up my brother and took him downstairs. I followed and watch her feed him when he woke up then soon we were on our way to the doctors.

At The Doctors

"Miss Yn?"-The doctor asked we stood up and followed him into his room

"Hello"-I smiled and took a seat

"Morning. How may I help?"-The doc asked

"Well, I took 2 pregnancy tests and 1 came up negative however the other one came up positive and I wanted to know the truth so we came here"-I looked at my mom

"Yeah, we are eager to find out"-My mom included

"Oh okay. Some pregnancy tests aren't reliable but so we are 100% sure, but may I ask when you had this sexual intercourse?"-The doc asked

"Just a couple of days ago"-I said

"We can't check if you are or not right now, that's probably why one of the tests came up positive and the other came of negative but you'd have to check after 2 weeks of the sexual intercourse. As of now, it is too early to see if you are or not"-The doc explained

"Okay so we will come back in 2 weeks?"-I asked

"Yes"-The doc nodded

"Oh okay"-I nodded

"Well, thank you doctor, we'll see you soon"-My mom shook his hand before leaving in the room with my baby bro, me following behind

Once I got home, I was just frustrated. I wanted to know if I was pregnant or not. Hopefully, I will be.
