"Stay behind me," Jungkook said to Taehyung immediately or more like ordered him but this time his voice was soft as if he was trying to soothe the fear away from the omega which kinda worked.

The omega inhaled heavily. His eyes were desperately looking for that very familiar disgusting face. They almost stood still when they got the smell coming stronger than before. Taehyung was shivering. He wasn't someone who can easily get scared but whatever happened to him was enough to drown all his confidence and strength for that night.

"Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you." Jungkook mind linked and said those words with his soft voice again as a reassurance. That one line lessened the omega's fear a lot.

They say, "When the mates are together, they become stronger."

But it was not like Jungkook and Taehyung were stronger now, right? They weren't mates anyway.

Taehyung wanted to smile bitterly at his foolish thoughts. At that moment he heard a sound. A laughing sound or more like a chuckle as if someone was mocking them.

"Look what I've found. Jeon with a pretty omega." Jungkook snarled at that as he desperately looked for the person or rogue in whatever form that bastard was.

"You're already married, aren't you Jeon? Then what are you doing with an omega who is amazingly sexy and....." they heard a sound as if Kai just swirled his tongue around his lips, "delicious."

He ended and Jungkook fumed in anger, not sure if he was angry because Kai saw Taehyung with bad eyes or he was being protective about his baby.

So, the Alpha growled, "If you have the guts then come in front of me. Say those words right on my face you fucker!"

"Oho ho ho ho ho, Jeon is being protective~. Omo! Jeon, I've never seen you like this. What's so special about this beauty, huh?" Teahyung felt a slight touch on his right ear and that quivered the core out of his body.

It was a rainy night so there was no moonlight. The forest was pitch black dark so they couldn't see a thing as their human form.

However, Jungkook was surely seeing things as a shadow in his wolf form. He could sense things around him with his wolf eyes. But he was looking in the opposite direction when the rogue touched Taehyung.

The omega quickly held Jungkook's wolves fur from behind and the Alpha could feel his hands shaking like hell. Jungkook came closer to the omega unknowingly and the warmth of his body relaxed Taehyung's racing heart instantly.

If it was some other time, Taehyung would've gone crazy thinking about what just happened between them but now was not the right time and maybe he didn't even realize it.

"Kai, look it's between you and me, let the omega go," Jungkook said to Kai but Taehyung just heard him growling softly.

Kai laughed out of nowhere as he finally stepped right in front of Jungkook and said, "I don't see his connection in this war between you and me. What's your problem if I want this omega? Who is he to you?"

Jungkook was about to say something but Kai stopped him, "Are you having an affair Jeon? Oh my God! The head alpha is having an affair. This should be a headline. I didn't expect you to be someone who breaks the rules by the way."

Kai smirked as he finished saying that and bit on something which Jungkook's red eyes were not capable of guessing correctly.

Having an affair while being married to someone else was prohibited for a head Alpha in their region. It's a law and an oath they took when they became a head of a pack. It was a great crime so Kai was mocking Jungkook.
